         <description><![CDATA[<div>I often team with 2nd or 3rd grade to do a Mock Caldecott program in December and January.&nbsp; I read from Caldecott prediction groups (i.e. Goodreads) and select a dozen books to share with students.&nbsp; I provide lessons with details on the illustrator and art techniques used.&nbsp; Students elvaluate the books based on art principles and relation to the story text.&nbsp; They get to vote the last week in January and I compare their choices with the real Caldecott awarded in late January. &nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>
