National History Museum of Los Angeles County&nbsp; </strong><br><br>https://nhmlac.org/connects<br><br>Here they offer learning activities such as Move like a Lizard, bird watching, and my personal favorite - <a href="https://nhmlac.org/diy-paleoart">DIY Paleoart</a>. Students can learn how animal skeletons turn into the animal drawings we see in museums. <br><br><strong>3.) National Gallery of Art </strong><br><br>https://www.nga.gov/education.html<br><br>The Gallery offers lessons for teachers and parents with DIY activities, free programs for art, and web lessons. By entering the Teachers tab and selecting the grade level, the website will give you multiple lesson plans like <a href="https://www.nga.gov/education/teachers/lessons-activities/elements-of-art/shape.html">Shape</a>. 1st and 2nd graders learn about space and shape with geometry. It includes an activity and warm up questions. <br><br>4.) The Metropolitan Museum of Art<br><br>https://www.metmuseum.org/learn/educators/lesson-plans<br><br>The Met offers lesson plans for different grade levels that highlight different cultures and arts they have displayed. An example activity called <a href="https://www.metmuseum.org/learn/educators/lesson-plans/ancient-animals-at-work">Ancient Animals at Work</a> based on a terracotta camel made in early 3rd century A.D. It has elementary students sculpting animals and doing a supplementary research project. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Coloring Nature </strong><br><br>https://www.coloringnature.org/<br><br>This website has over 700 free printables for parents to print and for children to color. They can learn about animals, food, habitats, etc while coloring. Example coloring lesson for <a href="https://www.coloringnature.org/coloring_page_category/habitats-biomes/">Habitats: Biomes</a> offer labeled options and unlabeled for places like the Arctic, African Grasslands, and the Chesapeake Bay. <br><br><strong>2.) Art Projects for Kids<br><br></strong>https://artprojectsforkids.org/gallery-new/<strong><br><br></strong>This free website offers how to draw lessons in step by step illustrations. Some examples offered are <a href="https://artprojectsforkids.org/draw-an-alpaca/">Alpaca</a>, <a href="https://artprojectsforkids.org/how-to-draw-a-parasaur-dinosaur/">Dino Parasaur</a>, and <a href="https://artprojectsforkids.org/delaunay-circles/">Delaunay Art</a>. The site suggests to use of paid PDF forms and other tools but with found objects around the house you can avoid paying for anything. <br><br><em>(Below is an example of the Delaunay Art project. I used markers and traced circles from every day objects)</em></div><div><strong><br>3.) P.S Arts</strong><br><br>https://www.psarts.org/resources/to-go/#visualarts<br><br>This website offers a multitude of arts lessons, read alouds, and music lessons for children to watch and continue learning. By clicking on the links under the section - Music, Theatre, Visual Arts - you can get a video tutorial and/of an instruction sheet that kids can complete. <br><br>(<em>Below is an example of one of the activities I did - Anni Albers</em></div><div><em>Paper Weaving)<br></em><br></div>]]></description>

Chrome Music Lab </strong><br><br>https://musiclab.chromeexperiments.com/Experiments<br><br>An interactive free site where children can learn <a href="https://musiclab.chromeexperiments.com/Chords/">piano chords</a>, <a href="https://musiclab.chromeexperiments.com/Harmonics/">harmonics</a>, <a href="https://musiclab.chromeexperiments.com/Melody-Maker/">melodies</a>, and <a href="https://musiclab.chromeexperiments.com/Song-Maker/">make songs</a>. It's an easy site to navigate and the instructions are mostly self explanatory. You can also interact with other kids while you learn songs on the piano. <br><br>(<em>Below is an example layout and song I made while investigating the site.)<br></em><br><strong>2.) Classics for Kids</strong><br><br>https://www.classicsforkids.com/<br><br>This educational site offers<a href="https://www.classicsforkids.com/teachers/lessonplans.php"> lesson plans</a>, <a href="https://www.classicsforkids.com/more/podcast.html">pod casts</a>, and <a href="https://www.classicsforkids.com/games.html">games</a> for kids to play as they learn about composers, instruments, notes and rhythm. It's easy to navigate and kids can play learn based on the composer they are interested in. <br><br><strong>3.)&nbsp; Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra </strong><br><br>http://listeningadventures.carnegiehall.org/<br><br>Carnegie Hall created an interactive adventure game where kids can see how an orchestra is organized, which instruments go where, pitch, sound, and instrument names. It's a simple click and play with games in between each educational video. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Color </strong><br><br>https://color.method.ac/<br><br>This website is an interactive color matching and color theory game where kids and parents alike can learn about colors and play a game while they learn. <br><strong><br>2.) Quick Draw</strong> <br><br>https://quickdraw.withgoogle.com/<br><br>Google offers a fun doodling game where you have 20 seconds to draw something and an AI has to guess it. It offers a way for kids to draw things they recognize and the game doesn't last too long. <br><br>(<em>Below is my attempt at playing a round.)</em><br><br><strong>3.) Funklet </strong><br><br>https://funklet.com/<br><br>This interactive site takes public domain songs and displays the bare drum beat. The object of the activity is to add/subtract beats, adjust tone, and change the rhythm. It offers a chance for kids to learn about rhythm while having fun. <br><br>(<em>Below is an example of a song from the website.)<br><br></em><strong>4.) Scratch Jr.<br><br></strong>http://www.scratchjr.org/teach/activities<strong><br></strong><br>This site offers children coding instruction without the technical jargon. Using keys and pieces kids can learn how to move animals, have people talk in video games, change scenes, etc. </div>]]></description>
