Today is my 1'st day doing SIEP. I am doing SIEP at Canteen SMK Teratak Pulai, Bachok Kelantan. I'm started work at 8 a.m until 12 a.m. For my first day I have been introduced by manager of the canteen to my other coworkers. 
There are 4 workers at this canteen which is all of them are women. I have been taught about the work that needs to be done as a canteen worker. Today is a weekday, workers come to the canteen to prepare food's items for sale to students and teachers at this school in the next day. I also cleaned canteens and surrounding areas which are cleaned drains, sweeping and mopping. When all the work was already cleaned and then I went home happily.

On this day I started work at 7 a.m with sweeping and mopping to ensure the canteen clean during operation. I was assigned to clean up the teachers and student's eating areas. We must complete the work to clean up and wash the cafeteria before 9 a.m because at this time we need to provide food to students it is  because students of stage 1 which is Form 1 to Form 3 will recess at 10 a.m. The initial setup is done in order to avoid confusion at the recess hour because  in this school there are many student which is contains about 800 students and 100 people including teachers and staff. So that, this canteen is provide various type of food and make more quantities of food to be enough for everyone in this school. Today I work in the kitchen. First, i am cutting "keropok lekor" into a small pieces. After that , i put the chicken, fish ball and sausage into the floor and eggs mixture and then frying it. I am also manage foods that be available to teachers and students at the time of the recess. After finished frying, I put the fried "keropok lekor", fish ball and fried chicken into the plastic and arranged neatly into the tray and bring it outside. At recess time, I always kept that the foods enough to all students until the recess time was end for stage 1 and 2. If the food was reduced, I would have to fry the foods again and brought it outside. Today I have been working in the drink area. I provide three types of drinks using large water containers. Daily drinking water is different water. The canteen has set that every day  different water will be made to ensure the students are not tired of the same water. This is a good marketing done by this canteen. For example, today I have made tea ice, milo ice and syrup ice and the other day we will make other tatse of drinks. This drink can be bought for 50 cents in plastic and at RM1 in plastic cups. At recess hour, I was helped by another worker to sell drinks for students. The students will be queuing long waiting patiently with each other's turn. This canteen also provide mineral water for students and teachers. I feel very happy because the water that I sold has been exhausted quickly. On this day I have worked in the cooking section. I was helped one of the workers to make a soup that can be eaten with noodles. At first I lifted gas and stuff to cook and heat the soup at the soup stall. I cut vegetables and meat to put into a bowl of student soup. I also fry the onions to be more tasty. slow fire is always open to keep the soup warm. Then, I  set up the mee in the bowl and put a bowl of noodles on the table and put the ingredients into it. Then at the recess hour when a student wants to buy mee, soup I will put the soup into a bowl that has been filled with noodles and students can eat their hot noodles soup. On that day , The soup that I have sold has been exhausted and I feel very happy. Today, I served as a cleaner. First of all, I am setting up plates, bowls and cups to be used today in their respective areas. For example, I am arranged bowl at the stall soup and puts a glass in the beverage area. Before arranged it, I wiped the dishes and glasses first with a clean cloth. After that, I put the spoon and the fork into their container and put it on the teacher's and student's table. Then, after the recess hour, I picked up the glasses and plates that had been used in the large basins. Then I took it into the washing room to be cleaned. I set aside leftovers of food that has been thrown into the trash because it can facilitate cleaning work. After washing the dishes, I will wipe the plates and the glasses use the clean cloth. Today is a weekend. After a week of Hari Raya Aidil adha, we came to school to clean the canteen and ensure the necessary items for tomorrow are ready and sufficient. I help washed chicken and fish for cooking tomorrow morning. After that, I swept and mopped the canteen to ensure that canteen is clean all the times. Teacher and student dining tables was wiped with a damp cloth to remove the impurities. I also arranged chair neatly to use by students and teachers tomorrow.
Today, canteen managers buy lots of items to use this week. Items that have been exhausted are added. I put things in their place. For example, I arranged vegetables and raw materials such as chickens and fish into the refrigerator to prevent them from being easily damaged.

On this day I handle the job as rice seller at the canteen. At early morning, I cook rice with a large pot to be sufficient for teachers and students while my other coworkers took on the work of cooking and providing a meal. Once the rice is cooked and the meal was ready, I wrap the rice and arrange in a basket by type of dish. During the recess hour, when a student wants to buy rice, they will tell what dishes that they want to buy and I'll give them the already packed rice. Rice sold is RM2 a pack of rice.  In the afternoon, I made drinks to the teachers. 
Usually , they will come to the canteen to have their lunch. I took orders , made drinks and sent it to the table. Today, canteens received an orders from school sports units to prepare rice for students who play sport on that day. Therefore, I cooked more rice today and provide more plenty dishes. At 8 o'clock, I had started wrapping the rice because the rice will be taken at 10 o'clock. I was assisted by my coworkers to finish it early. I am very happy because today we have a good fortune. After being ready to prepare rice, I made a jar of drinks water that has been ordered with the rice. Then, I put the packed rice and water into the plastic and ready to be taken. Before going home, I swept and mopped the dining area of teachers and students to be clean for tomorrow's operation. Today is my last day running SIEP. I started my work by sweeping and mopping the canteen. After that, I helped to fry the food in the kitchen to be available for students during recess hour. Next, I sorted out the washed glass and plates into the storeroom neatly as the school would be on holiday tomorrow as the weekend. Before I go home, I make sure all work is done. I checked the gas cover and make sure that it in good condition and the taps and electricity also closed. Before I left the canteen, I met my coworkersto say thank you for having helped and provided guidance when I worked here especially to the canteen manager who allowed me to work here to carry my SIEP assignment.
 Although I am tired, I am happy to be able to run SIEP at this canteen for 10 days with succesfully because i have very helpful coworkers and a good manager.
