I chose Love from A to Z by S.K. Ali because it touched me with its genuine quest of love, identity, and self-discovery. The novel is special because it depicts two protagonists, Zayneb and Adam, experiencing their own struggles grief, family pressures, and mental illness while they take solace in the presence of the other. What struck me was the realistic portrayal of emotions, especially how the characters deal with complex issues like loss and self-acceptance. The novel also touches on the intersection of culture, religion, and individual struggles, which resonated with a deeper aspect of me. Being a Muslim, I appreciated how the novel subtly integrates Islamic principles without making it the central theme and yet still has issues that are universal to all humans. Ali's writing is realistic and empathetic, making the novel relatable. I am certain that reading this novel will assist in understanding relationships, emotional healing, and cultural forces shaping personal experiences, making it a perfect topic for extensive study.

I chose Love from A to Z by S.K. Ali because it carries a unique and important tale of love, identity, and standing up for what is right. The novel revolves around Zayneb and Adam, two Muslim teens who are dealing with their personal problems but building a deep connection. What drew me to this book was its honest portrayal of emotions, diversity in culture, and important themes like faith, prejudice, and family. One thing that struck me was the dual narrative perspective. It was more engaging to read Adam's and Zayneb's thoughts because it made me more aware of their experiences. The themes of injustice, love, and acceptance also reminded me of issues in the real world. This book fits nicely into the PACTS framework because it has a powerful plot, an intense setting, effectively developed characters, deep themes, and an innovative writing style. It also fits with literary theory like Formalism, which studies how form and style create meaning. In general, I chose this book because it had a powerful message, emotional depth, and multicultural portrayal.

I chose Love from A to Z because I needed something that was honest and personal sounding. I enjoyed how it explores identity, religion, and love in such a manner that is not strictly romance but more about being found and advocating for who you are. It doesn't happen that often that I get to read novels with Muslim heroes whose religion is an integral part of their life so that immediately got me interested. What really appealed to me though, was the manner in which the novel is told in two voices Zayneb, who's passionate and outspoken, and Adam, who's more reserved but struggling with his own demons. Their stories seemed so authentic and genuine, and I liked how the novel didn't shy away from tough topics such as Islamophobia and sickness but was still optimistic.

I also enjoy reading books that allow me to see myself or allow me to tap into something else that is out of my frame of reference and Love from A to Z both. It is the kind of book that hangs around with you once you get to the last page.

Is there a book you have ever read that just made you super represented or had you realize like really another human's perspective?

So, I recently read the book “Love from A to Z” by S.K. Ali. The book revolves around the two characters, Adam and Zaynab. Adam is a humble, and loving guy who tries to limit his emotions to himself because he doesn’t want to cause any trouble and hurt anyone.Whereas Zaynab is a bold young woman who doesn’t tolerate hurtful behaviour and who somehow subconsciously causes trouble for herself. The novel's ability to achieve a balance between examining personal development and representation of cultural and religious values in a modern context intrigued me most.. Zayneb's activism and Adam's journey with multiple sclerosis highlight the challenges young adults face, yet they both find strength and solace in their bond.

I chose this Love from A to Z by S.K. novel because it beautifully explores themes of love, identity, and personal growth within a culturally rich setting ; it touched on so much more than that. The story's ability to address serious topics like Islamophobia, grief, and chronic illness, while also celebrating the beauty of relationships, felt compelling. Zayneb's passion for justice and Adam's struggle with his illness create an emotional depth that makes the reader reflect on their own challenges.More than anything, I love fictions with Muslim characters who are comfortable in their faith. Ali's portrayal of the characters' Islamic faith in everyday life made me reflect on the ways in which culture and religion shape who we are, especially when navigating personal challenges.

I think this novel serves as an important reminder of the complexity of relationships and the importance of understanding cultural and personal identities. It’s a compelling study in how love, even in its imperfections, can be a source of healing and strength.

Love from A to Z by S.K. Ali was my pick for a number of reasons. Ali's work touched me because of its insightful portrayal of how Zayneb and Adam, two Muslim teens whose paths cross in Doha, Qatar, develop a close bond while dealing with personal issues. Their journey is made the more captivating by the contrast between Zayneb's outspoken personality and quest for justice and Adam's calm perseverance.

I also found it fascinating how the book addresses significant issues like identity, faith, chronic illness, and Islamophobia. YA fiction seldom ever addresses these topics. The felicitous use of the alphabet in the book's title serves as a graphic illustration of both their personal development and the progress of their relationship. On top of that, S.K. Ali has written it in a down-to-earth way without any fancy facade by including real-world struggles such as balancing personal beliefs with societal expectations, which make me, as a reader, feel genuine and relatable.

The way Ali blends themes of love, faith, and self-discovery into a compelling story makes this book both delightful and thought-provoking.

What drew me in was how it’s told from two perspectives Zayneb and Adam through their journal entries. It makes their thoughts and emotions feel so raw and personal, like you're getting a glimpse into their hearts.

I was especially drawn to how the book explores identity, faith, and resilience. Zayneb’s struggle with Islamophobia and Adam’s journey of living with multiple sclerosis add so much depth to their characters. It’s not just about romance it’s about navigating life’s challenges, standing up for yourself, and finding beauty in both the struggles and the joys.

What I love most is how S.K.

Love from A to Z by S.K. Ali offers an unusual and meaningful angle on identity, belief, and love, which is why I had chosen it. It details the experiences of Zayneb and Adam, both young Muslims, whose lives would be changed forever during a spring break trip. Such directness impressed me and how much Zayneb and Adam struggled with very real issues of Islamophobia, sickness, and self-discovery, making their journeys relatable and inspiring. One of the most beautiful aspects of Love from A to Z is the dual narrative structure. Going back and forth between Zayneb's and Adam's minds, the tale exposes intimate details on their feelings and ordeals. This method serves to create powerfully the themes of resilience and unexpected hope throughout the course of the novel. Also, the contemporary depiction of Muslim characters is rare in mainstream YA literature; this is another reason why A-to-Z stands out. WHAT touched my heart in this novel as it marries a gripping love story with a perspective on social questions. It is a story of romantic love, love for family, love for culture, love for faith, and love for fighting for what's right.

Love from A to Z is, I guess, the book that I picked for reading because this is not the usual approach to love and identity and cultural understanding. The themes of personal issues, cultural heritage, and the complication of love resonate with my own life. Zayneb and Adam are two protagonists in this story that represent two completely different backgrounds, and while both are going through their pains, it illuminates the necessity of empathy and emotional growth.

The focus on mental health, especially with Zayneb dealing with anger issues, and Adam's illness, is what attracted me to the book. These even less talked about themes in mainstream literature are treated with sensitivity and much authenticity in Love from A to Z. Last but not least, the beautiful perspective on the Muslim faith, as well as cultural richness from the lands of the Middle East, offered diversity and depth I wanted to explore. My new experience with this novel, I carefully hope, will help my budding intellect appreciate love and loss and the ways their different facets shape individuals and communities around us.

S.K. Ali's Love from A to Z is a moving novel about love in every sense of the word, whether romantic love, familial love, or justice love. The most significant thing the novel does is shape Adam and Zayneb as a consequence of what they experience and endure. Zayneb's passion in fighting for what is right shows the strength of love as a life-changing force, and Adam's quiet strength shows the strength of love as a healing and accepting force. Together, they learn from each other—Zayneb learns to balance her own emotions, and Adam opens up more about his own MS struggle.

The book also highlights the significance of identity and religion. Both characters are struggling with what it is to be Muslim in a world that is not always welcoming to them, and their love is all the more powerful because of it. The journal entry format has the readers personally relate to their thoughts and feelings, and their journey becomes real and tangible.

In brief, Love from A to Z is not merely a romance—a tale of hope, self-discovery, and the strength of love in all its forms.

Some might choose it because of its themes, like love or personal identity, which they can relate to. Others might pick a classic book or one that’s really well-known in literature. Some are interested in the way the author writes, or how the characters and story are developed. The novel is about Zayneb and Adam, two Muslim teens who accidentally stumble into each other and bond over their individual issues. What attracted me to this book was the way it addresses real-world issues such as Islamophobia, chronic illness, and self-discovery in a manner that is honest and authentic. I also appreciated how the narrative is presented through the journal entries of both characters, which makes it more intimate and emotional. The novel presents Muslim characters in a strong and positive light, which is not usually the case with young adult books. I was especially interested to observe how Zayneb and Adam face obstacles while being true to themselves. The intermixing of romance and social issues makes this novel warm-hearted as well as provocative. I was certain that this book would be perfect for analysis since it teaches important lessons about goodness, justice, and looking for hope even in adversity.

I selected Love from A to Z by S.K. Ali, a very peculiar and meaningful novel, because it very accurately and meaningfully represented Muslim characters. It follows Zayneb and Adam, two Muslim teenagers who meet and develop a genuine connection against the background of their struggles. What attracted me to this novel was its truly honest view of identity, faith, and love, all topics not well represented in conventional literature. The novel is one of the most captivating in that it spoke about Islamophobia and chronic illness, completely covering both characters. Zayneb's boldness and inclination to fight against injustice directly contrast Adam's quiet resilience living with multiple sclerosis. The story now also appears very personal and immersive since it's using a dual journal format. That's the beautiful thing about this book, not just a great love story but also something which concerns serious social issues but in a way that reads so realistically and so inspiringly.

I have read Love from A to Z by S.K. Ali due to the prevailing themes of strength, religion, and identity it deals with. What drew me was how sensitively the lives of Muslim protagonists are depicted by the book in its handling of topical issues like Islamophobia and emotional loss. The application of double narrative, where each of Adam and Zayneb alternates between, provides depth to the work so that the novel becomes fascinating and emotionally engaging.

My favorite aspect of this novel is the way S.K. Ali weaves in personal struggle with social issues on a larger scale. Zayneb's discrimination in school, for example, highlights the difficulty many marginalized individuals face, and Adam's existence with multiple sclerosis brings attention to chronic disease. The novel's subject matter of love, justice, and accepting oneself as you are makes it an important and relevant read.

Reading this book allows one to investigate how literature depicts and challenges social norms. As literary critics explain, various tales like Love from A to Z help to expand representation in books and provide readers with deep connections to other experiences (Ali, 2019). I seek, in this study, to find out how the novel helps modern YA fiction and readers.

Ali, S.K. (2019). Love from A to Z. Simon & Schuster.

I picked Love from A to Z by S.K. Ali because it is a message novel and a voice novel with a distinct voice that deals with love, identity, and justice. The novel is interwoven between the narratives of Zayneb and Adam, two Muslim teens with their own share of problems but who fall madly in love. The aspect that drew me to this book was the realistic emotional flow, diversity of cultures, and discussion of deep issues like faith, prejudice, and family.

It was the double narrative voice that caught my interest. The ability to view what happened through the eyes of Adam and Zayneb made what happened to them more engaging and immersive. The occurrence of injustice, love, and acceptance also resonated with real issues. The novel slots so well into the PACTS model in that it has a good plot, complete setting, vividly created characters, important themes, and fresh writing style. It also connects to literary theory, in this case Formalism, which examines how form and style are accountable for meaning creation. Overall, I chose this book because of its strong message, emotional power, and dense multicultural cast.

The cultural richness in the book added an extra layer of depth, offering insights into different perspectives while still being universally relatable.

What drew to Love from A to Z by S.K. Ali was an elaborate yet honest work on identity, faith, and love. It had my attention with its authentic representation of Muslim characters and how personal struggles and heartwarming romance were represented. By just letting Adam and Zayneb share their experiences through their journal entries, the dual perspective format makes their experience so much more relatable. Zayneb was bold and passionate about enacting justice, especially in the face of Islamophobia, and it struck a chord within me. On the other hand, Adam's stillness and unflagging personal strength against multiple sclerosis reinforced a touching reading experience. Their journeys toward self-discovery and inner faith were inspiring, which made this love story more about the palace of resilience, hope, and finding light in dark times. To sum it all up, Love from A to Z is a novel that doesn't just tell a story, it also fosters important conversations about identity and the power of love. That is what drew me to it, and that is why I found it a worthwhile book to study.

The novel’s exploration of systemic oppression and the fight for justice deeply resonated with me, especially as it draws on real-world issues like racial inequality, identity, and the power dynamics in society. The way Adeyemi weaves in West African traditions and folklore made the world feel fresh and unique, while the intricate magic system added an element of excitement and mystery. Additionally, the characters are complex and relatable, each facing their own struggles that made me want to dive deeper into their journeys. The novel’s ability to combine fantasy with relevant, real-world themes is what truly drew me to study it.

S.K. Ali's Love from A to Z is a poignant novel about love in all its forms—love between lovers, familial love, and the love that has to do with justice. Maybe the most compelling parts are the ways the experiences and hardships transform Adam and Zayneb. Zayneb's determination to do the right thing presents love as a firm, life-altering force, and Adam's resilience presents love as a healing, embracing force. Zayneb's composure is possible because of him, and Adam is less guarded about his MS ordeal.

The novel also delves into identity and faith, with the two protagonists negotiating what it means to be Muslim when tolerance cannot be assumed. Their love is made all the stronger against the conflict. The diary structure provides readers with the privilege of living their emotions and their lives intimately and their quest feels tangible and proximate.

At its core, Love from A to Z is not just a love story—but a tale of hope, discovery, and the abiding strength of love no matter the type.

I selected Love from A to Z by S.K. Ali to analyze because it is a wonderful and poignant tale of love, religion, and doing what's right.

I read my novel because it is very interesting and contains themes that are very fascinating and relatable to my life, which mainly highlights the challenges encountered during personal growth when relationships have a lot of unchecked power over the decisions made and actions taken, not very important things that these people have gone through, which lead me into such a kind of revelation. What got me most hooked was the author's ability to fuse very deep feeling with a lovely story in such a manner that makes the characters feel human and their troubles meaningful. Another thing I liked about it was how the place and time in the novel gave further depths to the story and the special atmosphere it created. I also got attracted to this novel because of the author's writing style; really captivating, since it keeps me nailed on to the last sentence. All this made me think that the novel brings promising themes, fruitful characters, and sweet plot lines-poised to leave one with lots of mental thinking and exploring every side of the situation.

I chose A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens because of its historical depth, complex characters, and exploration of justice and sacrifice. Set during the French Revolution, the novel presents a compelling contrast between London and Paris, highlighting themes of resurrection, revolution, and redemption. I was drawn to this book because of its powerful storytelling and how it intertwines personal struggles with broader historical events.

One of the key aspects I want to analyze is Dickens’ use of literary techniques, such as symbolism and foreshadowing. For instance, the motif of the knitting of Madame Defarge represents the inescapable fate of those condemned by the revolution. Using Formalism, I can examine how Dickens’ narrative structure, repetition, and imagery reinforce the novel’s central themes. Additionally, through Reader-Response Theory, I can explore how modern audiences interpret the novel’s message about justice and morality.

Through the PACTS framework, I plan to examine how the plot, atmosphere, characters, themes, and style contribute to the novel’s impact. The dramatic opening line—"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times"—immediately sets the stage for a story of duality and transformation, which makes it a fascinating subject for literary analysis.

I chose my independent novel, "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak, because of its unique narrative voice and powerful emotional content. The feature that drew me to it initially was that Death was the narrator, which immediately intrigued me. Immediately, I questioned how this voice would influence the storytelling. When I was introduced to the PACTS framework (plot, atmosphere, character, theme, and style), I recognized that this novel offered a wonderful opportunity to explore all five elements in a comprehensive way. For instance, the atmosphere of Nazi Germany is ominous and emotionally charged, and the character development of Liesel is poignant and inspirational. I also especially enjoyed the theme of the power of words and of storytelling and how it particularly resonates with the fact that it intersects with the concept of resistance through literature. My personal emotional reaction to the text greatly influences my interpretation, which is therefore all the more subjective. This book not only intellectually engages me but also interests me on a personal level.

My choice of Love from A to Z by S.K. Ali as the analytical book stemmed from its authentic portrayal of identity exploration along with representations of faith and love. The book caught my attention because it showed living Muslim characters in authentic positive lights that are missing from most teenage literature. Both main characters Zayneb and Adam battle professional issues where Zayneb faces school prejudice against Muslims and Adam fights multiple sclerosis and his loss of his mother. Their individual struggles lead the characters to meet in unexpected ways which eventually results in a deep relationship forming between them. The journal-style narrative format of the book alternated between both characters' private thoughts that showed their emotional states. Through its narrative the story had deep personal significance because it tackled relevant social matters but also presented important themes about love and personal development and coping skills. Reading S.K. Ali's writing produced both honesty and poetry which enabled me to bond strongly with the story's characters. This book makes a notable impression because it presents an emotionally charged story along with deep cultural richness that provides readers with a new angle on current teen literature.

Plus, I was really drawn to the protagonist-the story of Santiago who embarks on a journey of self-discovery and resolves to fulfill those same calls that all of us face in unfolding our potentials. The book is very simply written with profound messages about faith, the signs from the universe, and strength from within. Hence, it really fit perfectly with my independent novel study.
