That is because it would be quicker.
that is because you read 50 pages 1 time a week, but since the text specifies three times a week, that means you read 150 pages. (3 x 50 = 150) Which is way more pages then the book has. Which would be a way faster option in my opinion.
This method is better because the first option would take at least 12 days to finish! ( 12 x 12 = 144) And, I don't mind reading that much.

Restaurant B no doubt, I am not sure totally what the percent of tip usually is, but having "another source" of income is cool too. If the "percent" of tip is 30% and they were eating an 17 dollar meal, that would be around 5 dollars. It might not be that much, but it builds up and sometimes you can even get tips that earn you more money than restaurant a.
