  • My ESP topic is dedicated to waiters at one of the recently opened restaurants in Jogja located near Prambanan. 2. The topic is how to welcome guests, offering menus, and the simple conversations that might take place. 3. PRE TASK: Greetings, Interactive brainstorming to collect their ideas towards the learning activities, playing kahoot to see their background knowledge (ice breaking activity), Teacher briefly giving explanation and reading together the example of conversation in hand-out provided by the teacher. TASK: Playing dartboard game, mini roleplay. POST-TASK: peer review, teacher giving feedback and finding difficulties together and discuss it. 4. I will make dartboard game as my conventional media.     I choose to teach ESP for Tour Guide. My topic is Learning the Basic in English

    In the pre-task: 
    - Greetings 
    - Play the Flash Cards as the introduction for the task stage
    - Play Youtube video about how to be a good tour guide 

    In the task:
    - Making groups of three, each students should draw two cards and make a descriptive paragraph with the keywords they had. ( The total card for each groups is six cards)
    - Present their paragraph in front of the class
    - Doing Quiz in Kahoot! the quiz is about the words in the cards they have learn in the pre -task stage and the common topic in tour guide situation

    Post-task:
    - Review section by giving them the feedbacks
    - Practice after the Review section

    1. English for KFC Sudirman's Waiter/Waitress
    (Taking Order & Describing Menus) 

    2. PRE-TASK: Students watch a video on how a waiter serves a customer in English. Students read vocabulary table about food. Then they do a quiz by matching food names into its categories.
    TASK CYCLE: Students read a descriptive text about foods. Students list down the word they didn't know and find the meaning in dictionary. Students get on Kahoot and try to answer the questions (fill in the blank questions).
    LANGUAGE FOCUS: Students make a short role play in pair (one be the waiter and one be the customer) 

    3. -Vocabulary: Noun and Adjectives (dessert, salad, crispy, delicious, etc.)
    -Grammar: Descriptive sentences
    Target language : listening and speaking
