Apple released the iPad Air 2, the first iPad with Touch ID, allowing fingerprint authentication for unlocking and Apple Pay. It also had a fully laminated display for better image quality and reduced glare.

Apple launched the iPad Pro (12.9-inch), a high-performance tablet aimed at professionals. It featured an A9X chip, four speakers, and support for the first-generation Apple Pencil. The iPad Pro was designed for creative users, offering more power than many laptops.

Apple released a smaller 9.7-inch iPad Pro, featuring True Tone display technology, which adjusted color temperature based on ambient lighting. This model was designed for those who wanted Pro-level features in a smaller, more portable size.

Apple refreshed the iPad Pro lineup, introducing a 10.5-inch model and a second-generation 12.9-inch model.
