Through this image is how i see Grendel. I see him as Scary in the face as well as a scary soul. When he walks in the room is instantly changes everyone mood. I see him as a monster who wants to scare and make everyone life around him bad. I feel Grendel how to much power and emotion over other people. Here is an example "The old Shaper, a man i cannot help but admire, goes out the back window with his harp at a single bound, though blind as a bat. " He has put so much fear in people when he walked in the room they would rather commit suicide then be killed by him. Grendel is not taken as a joke other peoples happyness sets him off very easily. he loves to see other people down and scared i believe he is viewed as a monster vs. Beowulf.

The song i choose is for Grendel's type of music i believe he would listen to which is Monster by Imagine Dragons. In this song he talks about being unhappy within himself. He feels like he is turning into a monster due to his choices he keeps making. All he wants is to feel free of his life and not be trapped like a MONSTER. This song is also about Deathless mortals who have Mastered the technology to bring their "SOUL" into a new body when their current body to heal from mortal wounds. Deathless is known as Ausar who is a warlord as Grendel seems to think he is as he kills people left and right Ausar in this case killed his wife along with his former ally Galath the deathless worker of secrets. Both intending on destroying each other as Grendel and Beowulf want to do to each other as well.

I decided to post Jeremiah Bennett Page from 2nd period because. His image and first section of his writing was very eye catching. After reading his Grendel entry i realize he went much into detail about the topic it was very good. His image was very appealing one of his reasoning behind it was. Grendel thrives of off their pain as in the thanes and others that he has killed along with their pain and suffering and continues to torment them repeatedly. "Eleven years now and going on Twelve" as we all know but i liked his creativity and well described article the quotes are self explanatory. This post fits right into the theme. The picture could be Grendel when he gets upset. As well as when he is about to attack someone or the people as a whole.

The Life of Beowulf today:

He never backed down from a challenge in himself, he didn't care what anyone said he would prove them wrong just like that. "No one could check such pride like his". He knew that he was the best therefore he performed his best and excelled in everything put in front of him. You couldn't tell him any different. He wanted to be recognized not only as the greatest hero but to live on as a legend fro years to come and not be forgotten. Everyone knows they will never forget him, his pride was unforgettable. Grendel was a deceiving, low-down, dirty, beast. He was heartless "snarling and fierce." He didn't care about anything he killed with no remorse or sympathy for anybody. The way he killed those people, those brave warriors was inhumane in itself. Also the fact that he came at night and killed them while they were asleep was just cowardly, and shows how weak he actually is. He could not face them while the were wide awake and fully aware, but instead decided to get them while sleeping and vulnerbale. He was unfeeling and selfish. This MONSTER was "The infamous Killer".

Beowulf was a heroic epic which was composed in old English. The relationship through out the reading was based on "Mutual trust and respect ". The the news vowed loyalty to the lord and in turn received affectionate care as well as material rewards fro his valor and allegiance. Beowulf finds an ancient sword on the cave wall and kills Grendels mother with it. Beowulf wants to slay the dragon so he says. We have come to see that Beowulf is exemplifies Charismatic Leadership. For example he is absolutely fearless and supremely confident in his own abilities. For an example of Drawbacks is the grim fate of the Geatish people at the demise of their King invites questions about relying upon Charismatic leaders such as Bewulf as models f Leadership.
