<title>Microteaching and Peer Feedback by Dr. Nellie Deutsch</title>
      <link>https://padlet.com/nelliemuller/microteaching</link>
<description>Microteaching sessions in preparation for teacher training practice in an online virtual class. The current class will focus on how to get feedback on the micro-teaching lessons from peers.

Microteaching is a teacher training method whereby teachers can teach and get feedback by peers and the instructor. The teaching segment is video taped, so they can review it as they receive feedback. Dr. Dwight W. Allen started Micro-teaching at Stanford University in the early 1960s. The purpose of the system is to help teachers learn and improve their teaching performance. Teachers can teach, receive feedback, re-teach and get ongoing feedback based on the recordings and self, instructor, and peer evaluation.

You will be invited to a series of micro-teaching sessions to learn how to deliver a micro-teaching lesson. At the end of the sessions, you will be required give your own micro-teaching lesson in pairs. Teachers will begin the micro teaching process in November, 2014 in the WizIQ virtual classroom.

The microteaching training is for new and experienced teachers. </description>
