This class was my second online class but my first class through NCVPS. I had some trouble in the beginning of the class with NCVPS setup but I eventually learned the setup. The different assignment types in this class (speaking/writing/listening) has pushed me to improve my Spanish in these specific areas. I definitely feel like my listening skills has improved. Now whenever I hear others speaking in Spanish I can understand. I do like how in an online setting I could work on my assignments whenever I had time. The different assignments definitely improved my spanish speaking, writing, vocabulary, and listening skills. I didn’t like the Voiceboard assignments since I had a lot of technical difficulties with opening voiceboard on my computer. I also didn’t feel that my conversation skills during this course. One assignment type I feel should become a part of this course are conversation assignments. These assignments could have the teacher meeting with the student to speak in spanish in order to improve pronunciation and communication skills. This has helped me immensely with my Spanish vocabulary and I plan to continue this in order to strengthen my vocabulary knowledge. I also plan to take Spanish 3 at my school next year so I can continue my Spanish learning. The things she did that I felt were most helpful was: her feedback on all of the assignments I submitted, how she reached out and contacted me when I was struggling, and how she messaged me when there was a file upload problem. All of these things had a significant impact on my Spanish learning and taught me a great deal about Spanish.
