Our bank launch was on Thursday 29th of November 2018. We had a great time and played lots of 80's tunes. Lots of students came to either lodge or either open an account with us. We are proud to say that we are officially the first bank to launch in Ireland.

Bank Manager

Áine Brennan is the bank manager of the bank. She is the head honcho and oversee's the proper running of the bank. She is responsible for meeting with customers and solving any problems they may have, with the help of her team. She also makes sure that team mates are getting along well and there's no tension in the group.

Chief operating officer

Aoife Nolan is the chief operating officer of the bank. She is the second-in-command of the bank and responsible for the efficiency of bank. The COO is a key role and takes over in the place of the bank manager if they are not there. She has a similar role to the bank manager, making sure the bank is running smoothly,etc.

Marketing Manager

Aoife Mcloughlin is the marketing manager for the bank. She makes sure to promote the bank using social media, such as our Instagram or Facebook and tries to promote new customers and old customers to lodge money!

Financial Controller

Niamh Traynor is the financial controller of the bank. She oversee's the accounts of the bank and makes sure things run smoothly in the finance department. She also makes sure accounting processes are maintained

Innovation Executive

Therese Reilly is the innovation executive of the bank. She focus on the development of new products, services or processes. Although all of us can come up with idea's she also comes up with idea's and makes sure they are put into action!

Thursdays

Loyalty card scheme

Our bank provides a loyalty card scheme. Once you lodge money you will receive a loyalty card and it will be stamped. You must get 8 stamps to receive a surprise from us- BUT NO SPOILERS!!!!
So keep on lodging in order to receive that surprise.

Online banking situation

If you want to start online banking you must get the online banking form from us on thursday. However, if you are 16 and over you do not need one. You don't have to use online banking however it is handy to check your account balance or account idea's.

Delayed debit cards

We know a lot of you have not yet received your debit card. Around the time that we launched the bank there happened to be a delay on the debit cards. We know it must be really frustrating and we are doing the best we can do. Because the delay was so close to Christmas, that also delayed the process. We are sorry if you haven't received the debit card yet, we just don't control the distributing of debit cards and account approving!

Debit card and PIN

So a lot of people are confused why their PIN aren't coming with the debit card. It's because its for safety issues. You can't send the PIN and card together because if it happens to be sent to the wrong address and they open both the PIN and the card, then thats not good. The PIN will always be sent first.

To open an account.......

₁. You will need to fill out the application form. 2.you will need a parent consent form, if you are under 16.
3. you will need a proof of identity, so your passport or birth cert and if you don't feel comfortable you can bring in a photo copy of either of them.

4. proof of address is provided by the school.
You can get the application form and parent consent form from us on thursdays.

80's christmas bingo

On friday 21st we organised a Christmas bingo in aid of Focus Ireland. It started off with round one of just Christmas songs. The second round was 80's music and finally the last round was songs that are poplar right now. With Aoife Mcl and Áine on music, Aoife N and Niamh on the mic and Therese on pictures, it was a great hit. Thanks to the prefects with all the help giving out the bingo cards. We had three winners for the three rounds and a winner for best dressed, they all got a selection box each!!! Thank you to everyone who donated their €2 to focus Ireland!!

The official launch

On the 29th of November 2018, bank to the 80's launched and was the first bank to officially launch in Ireland. It was a great lunch, with rad 80's music, goodie bags, photo frame an a lot of application forms- and a few lodgements. Overall, it was an amazing day and thank you to everyone who came and opened an account or lodged

Christmas event

Friday 21st coming the school are having a fun day in school. We are holding a fun bingo but it is themed,-NO SPOILERS THOUGH!!!! The winners will get prizes so make sure to come in on friday and dress up as festive as possible and make sure to bring in €2.00. This €2 from everyone is going to focus Ireland. We think its very important to get everyone to take part in this because we are helping people over Christmas who may not have a home for Christmas and maybe they don't have a family either. So please make sure to bring in that €2 and wear your Christmas clothes. Every cent counts!
