My entire teaching philosophy is rooted in my belief that the classroom should be a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for students. Each aspect of my philosophy as a whole serves as an important part of providing that safe an nurturing environment for students. Of course an important part of being a teacher is relaying material to students, and making sure they feel confident with it. However, an overlooked step to getting there is providing a space in which they can grow and learn and take initiative of their own paths. Each of the individual philosophies, ideas, and specific activities below serve as a stepping stone towards my greater goal of having my students leave my future classroom knowing more about themselves as well as material.
