They all thought she was dead and put her in the tomb. It was a perfect diversion. I think if she wasn't so mischievous she would have just told everyone the truth, but she didn't want to do that, so she came up with a plan to fake her death and run away. If this had happened in the beginning of the book she would have just told the truth, but now that she had been through so much she planned a diversion instead. This quote shows how her and Friar Lawrence came up with the plan, "Juliet- Tell me not, Friar, thou hearest of this, Unless thou tell me how I may prevent it...
