- Inclusion of all aspects of multiculturalism and recognizing that speaking and teaching about other cultures at the surface level is not enough. Ex. Lessons about Martin Luther King Jr. do not show the whole story of what he stood for. They heavily glorify his "I Have a Dream" speech and fail to include the pushback that he received for his opinions that were controversial at the time, as well as his work as an activist
- Not passive and can not be taught once. Teachers must work actively to create a safe space where racism is addressed and not tolerated
- Taking action and instead of allowing students to feel victimized (when called out for being racist), they use those feelings to practice and uphold antiracist behaviors.
