Maximilian I was the current ruler of the HRE and also took part in the ruling of Burgundy. Philip IV was also a ruler of Burgundy, and Margaret also had some input.

They had previously had a good relationship with England due to the cloth trade. However due to Margaret being a Yorkist and her brother being the previous ruler of England, Edward IV, she encouraged and supported rebellions against Henry but in 1496 she recognised him as king due to the trade.

The HRE and Burgundy were significant allies as they had strong blood ties to each other and were of the same religion.

Ruled by Ferdinand II of Aragon. Relationship previously weak as both countries only cared about own place in Europe and had no loyalty to each other. In 1489 as part of Treaty of Madina del Campo, agreed to work together to defend lands and promised not to make agreements with France without consulting each other. Issues with marriage contracts, due to deaths and Downey disagreements.
