There was a boy. I do not know his name yet. I know him as the boy. He has displayed a character trait of loyalty. An example of the boy being loyal was was even though the boy isn't working for the old man anymore he still is helping him. He is getting his fishing equipment and helping him cast nets. He also helps provides dinner. This shows he is loyal because even though he is working for a more successful boat he still wants his original boos/friend to be successful. His loyalness in the beginning of the book makes me wonder if he will stay loyal throughout the book or will he give up on the hope that the old man will catch a fish and will stay with his successful boat.

This is a picture of a fish called a Marlin. This is the fidh that the old man in the sea tried to capture. Seeing this picture helped me put in perspective how hard it would've been to catch one of these fish because it is so massive. It also helped me realize why the Old Man was so careful because of it's spear-like mouth. I also relized from th epicture why sharks would eat it from the side of the boat because it would be a good catch for a shark.

I didn't think the old man deserved to have his fish eaten by sharks. He is so determined he goes 84 days without cathcing a fish and still does fishing as a career. he also is kind. He acts as a dad like figure to the young boy. He deserved to end up with a big marlin. He also didn't deserve the young boy leaving him. I didn'y like how the author ended the book with him not getting a big catch. It is different but I don't like it. I wonder why the author chose to end the book like that.

This is a drawing of a lion. The old man at the very begining and end dreams about a lion. I wonder in the lion dream was suposed to symbolize something. It didn't really go with the atory. It connected with the begining again testing your memory.
