I think it is important for us to grow food so when there is a lack of food we can still grow our own and it helps with us sustainability.
I learnt that it is necessary for us to grow our own food so as to maintain a sustainable future for our next generation.

I think it is important for Singapore to achieve food security to maintain sustainability and ensure that there will be food for us to eat.
I learnt that bananas and tapioca were grown in the war.
I believe I can be more resourceful with food. If I am unable to finish my food, I will save it for leftovers to eat. If I am eating out, I can ask the cook to give me a smaller portion so as to prevent food waste.

I think that it is important as we cannot rely too much on other countries for our food. Some countries may cut off the food supply that they send us when they are in a bad spot or have insufficient resources, so I think that it is important for Singapore to achieve food security.
I don’t know.🤷‍♀️ but the facts that they sell their flowers and plants to restaurants and some are pricey.

I think it’s important to have food security in singapore as we import food from 190 countries, therefore we need to be sustainable with our food and reuse the most we can.

Q1: I feel that the learning journey is important so that we know how we can achieve food security by making eco-enzymes or even knowing how far we are from the 30 by 30 plan.

Q2:1 new piece of information I have learnt is that the worms that make vermicast can be so useful to the soil.

Q4: I can buy the exact amount of food that is needed instead of buying extra. I could also use the citrus peels to make the eco-enzymes.

Q2.One fascinating aspect I learned about during my learning journey is the concept of eco-enzymes and their applications in sustainable living. Eco-enzymes are homemade, all-natural cleaning agents produced through fermentation of kitchen waste such as fruit peels, vegetable scraps, and brown sugar with water and yeast.

During an eco-enzyme workshop, participants typically learn how to create these eco-enzymes and explore their various uses. What makes eco-enzymes particularly intriguing is their versatility. They can be used as eco-friendly alternatives to conventional cleaning products for household cleaning, pest control in gardens, and even as fertilizers for plants.

After this learning journey, I think that it is important for Singapore to have a secure food source within Singapore itself as Singapore is very reliant on other countries for food and edible garden city is a great solution to this problem due to its futuristic and efficient way of growing plants.

What I find most interesting about edible garden city is how they use eco friendly ways to provide food to Singapore. they would use natural fertiliser from the droppings of worms such as the red wriggler instead of using harmful artificial fertiliser that can harm the environment.

I believe that each of us have a part to play to improve food security in Singapore. I can start by buying only the food I need to eat. We could also start buying fruits and vegetables that does not look good, for example, fruits and vegetables that have bruises, scratches or dents on their skin as these fruits can still be eaten.
