         <description><![CDATA[<p>As an instructor, I recognize that teaching ethical digital literacy is essential in preparing students to navigate the digital world responsibly. Digital citizenship goes beyond just knowing how to use technology—it involves understanding the impact of one’s actions online and practicing respect, empathy, and accountability. I strive to model this by consistently demonstrating respectful communication and encouraging students to think critically about the content they consume and share.</p><p>Academic integrity is another cornerstone of ethical digital literacy. I emphasize the importance of honesty in all assignments and discussions, reinforcing why plagiarism and cheating undermine not only their learning but also their personal growth. To support this, I provide clear guidelines on citing sources and use tools that help students understand proper attribution.</p><p>Copyright awareness is often overlooked but critical in digital education. I make it a point to teach students about intellectual property rights and the ethical use of digital materials. This includes explaining fair use, encouraging the use of open educational resources, and guiding them to create original content or properly credit others’ work.</p><p>Lastly, online safety is a priority in my classroom. I educate students on protecting their personal information, recognizing online risks, and practicing safe browsing habits. I also foster an environment where students feel comfortable reporting any online concerns.</p><p>Overall, I see my role as not only delivering content but also shaping ethical digital citizens who can responsibly participate in the digital world. While challenges like varying levels of digital access and understanding exist, I continually seek new strategies and resources to support all learners effectively.</p><p>This reflection helps me stay mindful of the crucial role I play in guiding students toward responsible digital behavior, which ultimately benefits their academic journey and beyond.</p>]]></description>
