I love our ILT group — the people in it, but it leaves room for unrealistic expectations. It promotes leadership but at the same time draws lines in the sand, and belittles others. IT IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN it WAS. In order for it to create inclusion some clear rules need to be employed. What his admin has done so effectively is made little changes and just allowed us to finally breate. We learn so much but share 1/3. Suggestions: have an ILT ROLE OUT team. Where we all share as a group what is happening around us. So much is inferred in the written word, ie email. The power of authentic conversation —- the true essence of this ILT —- bravery and passion for our students isn’t enjoyed yet. Invitations need to be given to teams to join us. Send videos, live videos, flip grids, share our visions live. Create reciprocity — links fir our parents and students to chime in. The power of our culture is it is like the Wizard of OZ—- every one, every member, every child deserves the very best..... tear down the curtain... ensure our efforts of student learning are clearly seen.
