I found surprising that the text “Wayward Wizards” sounded almost the same as “My Story” except that “Wayward Wizards” is not from Temple Grandin’s point I of view but of his of her life. In the text “Wayward Wizards” Sy Montgomery tells us about all the horses and how they connected to Temple. He also tells us how Temple “was proud that she now had an important, responsible job in the barn.” This proves that Temple was happy that she mattered to the horses as she also did explain in “My Story” it says “I spent every waking minute that I didn’t have to be studying or going to school with those horses.” In conclusion, I found it surprising that both texts “Wayward Wizards” and “My Story” are similar.

I found that the way the chapter was told was very interesting because it was told from another persons perspective on Temple Grandin. In the text it claims that Temple loved all horses and that she was the best rider. This shows the opinion of this person on Temple. Also in the text it states that Temple had a difficult time focusing on boring schoolwork. This shows the observance of the person telling the story. Overall this shows how the chapter narration was very interesting because it was told from another persons perspective on Temple Grandin.

In the text I found it very surprising that even though its been a long time since Temple Grandin has gone to that school she can still remember the horses names. In chunk 1 it states “All these years later she remembers each of them by name.” I guess she spent so much time with those horses and cared for them so much they became a major part of her life even today. I was also shocked that Temple decided that the horses were more important than school work. This surprised me because Temple seems like a very smart person and I’m sure she would have done better in school if she applied herself and didn’t focus so much on the horses.

I found it interesting that having the horses around helped Temple with her problems and gave her purpose. This made her feel that she played an important roll in life. The text states, in paragraph 5,” But Temple was proud that she now has an important, responsible job in the barn.” This proves how the horses gave her purpose because she loved them so much that she began to work and care for them in the barn which makes her feel good that she is doing something and is making an impact on other lives

What i found interesting about the text “Hampshire School for Wayward Wizards” was that Temple was developing a new mind, even with autism to finally become a new and improved lady, but when her mind was developing, she had a lot of panic attacks. Probably from all of the info she is taking up about grooming horses. What i also found interesting was that instead of going to school to learn more things about the future that she may have, she decided to work in the barn, to take care of the horses, since she found out that they were like her. She even said that school was, “boring, boring boring,” and she wanted t o stay in the barn to work with the horses. So even with a girl with autism, she was rebellious to go to school, but excited to actually go to the barn to work with the horses during the day
