What is the Human Papiloma Virus and how its spread?

Doctor: human papilloma virus is a disease that produces warts, there are more than 100 different types of it, most of them are harmless but 30 can cause you cancer, this virus affects the genitals and you can get it through sexual contact with a infected patient, the usage of latex condoms reduce the chances of getting infected but it doesn't eliminate the risk

Personal:

The Human papilloma is a disease that is transmuted sexually, the man only carry the gens of the disease, the woman are the ones affected by it.

Patient:

I think that I have HPV because I found some hives in my genitals and I even that I haven't felt sick, my sexual partner started to present other symptoms

B) What are the main risks of containing the human papilloma virus?

Patient:

The Web page Patients Like Me, which let patients help each other live better and uncover the best ways to manage your desease by sharing experiences. According to the site, the patients feel in a depressed mood and also feels anxious, that have pain, insomnia, fatigue and suffer from diarreah and also have rash and skin problems.

Doctor:

According to the division of STD prevention (1999), HPVs infect epithelial cells. These cells are organised in layers, covering the inside and outside surfaces of the body, including the skin, the throat, the genital tract, and the anus. Because HPVs are not thought to enter the blood stream, having an HPV infection in one part of the body should not cause an infection in another part of the body. Once an HPV enters an epithelial cell, the virus begins to make proteins. Two of the proteins made by high-risk HPVs interfere with normal functions in the cell, enabling the cell to grow in an uncontrolled manner and to avoid cell death.

Many times these infected cells are recognised by the immune system and eliminated. Sometimes, these infected cells are not destroyed, and a persistent infection results. As the persistently infected cells continue, they may develop mutations that promote even more cell growth, leading to the formation of a high-grade lesion and, ultimately, a tumor. Researchers believe that it can take between 10 and 20 years from the time of an initial HPV infection until a tumor forms. However, even high-grade lesions do not always lead to cancer. The percentage of high-grade cervical lesions that progress to invasive cervical cancer has been estimated to be 50 percent or less.

Ourselves:

We think that the main risks of the human papiloma virus, have a lot of serious risks, and one of them is that when you contract it for a lot time, and you don't get a treatment or a vaccine, you can get tumours in the affected areas by the mutation of the HPV, and even worse, that tumours in your body can mutate into cancer, and everything start because of the HIV, i think that the worst part is that you can die from it, and suffer in pain in the process.

C) What are the main causes of the death in Mexican women?

Myself: I think that the breast cancer because is disease that is hide in the mammals so the women can´t detected or detected late when the cancer is advanced, at this step the cure is impossible by this reason the women have a slowly death or if the cancer is not in the final stage they can get a medical surgery.

Patient of HPV: If most lethally disease because the infection can´t be visible and you only can detect it when it is advanced and the only escape is the death.

Doctor: Diabetes is the main cause of death in Mexica for men and women, whats is diabetes? “Diabetes, often referred to by doctors as diabetes mellitus, describes a group of metabolic diseases in which the person has high blood glucose (blood sugar), either because insulin production is inadequate, or because the body's cells do not respond properly to insulin

D) What is the most common cancer in the population of Mexican women?

Ourselves: For us it could be the breast cancer, because it’s the most common cancer for the women, usually they have to check yearly so they can prevent it.

Patient: It could be the breast cancer, the first thing to check could be to check if there are some differences in the armpits, if we have a doubt we could go to a hospital so they can check and make some studies of it. If its positive it will be depressing cause is really dangerous for the person.

Doctor: In 2008, the 10.9% of cancer cases in the population of Mexican women, where related with tumours in the mammals. This case most of the times it presents between women’s of 30 to 59 years old. Some symptoms of breast cancer are: Appearance of nodules in the breast or armpit ganglion, abnormal discharge from the nipple, change in color or characteristics of the skin of the breast, nipple retraction, etc. Breast cancer can be detected by self examination, or studies as mammograms and breast ultrasound.

*Advice to prevent the HIV

Vaccines can protect men and women from almost all common types of HPV that can cause a disease or cancer. These vaccines are given in three injections. It is important to get all the three vaccines to have the best protection. It is important to get all the three vaccines to have the best protection. The vaccines are most effective at 11 or 12 years old.

A.-What is Human Papilloma virus and how it is spread?

Yourself: Causes common warts,
beige or brown skin growths that can appear almost anywhere on the body, near
the mouth, anus and genitals. Are spread by direct skin contact or having
sexual intercourse with someone who has it

Doctor: Is the most common
sexually transmitted infection (STI).HPV is different virus than HIV and HSV.
HPV is so common that nearly all sexual attractive men and women get it at some
point in their lives .Genital warts usually appear as a small bump or group of
bumps in the genital area. It spread by having vaginal, anal or oral sex with
someone who has it. Most commonly spread during vaginal or anal sex.

Patience: Is a common and highly
contagious infection in which the women acquiring over three quarters of
sexually. It affects your skin and the moist membranes lining your body, for
example, in your cervix, anus, mouth and throat.

B.-What are the main risks of contracting the human papilloma virus?

Yourself: We think that the main
risk of contracting papilloma is to spread to someone you love or an innocent
person. A high risk could be to get cancer.

Doctor:Research has shown that 99.7 percent of cervical
cancers are caused by HPV infection. There are more than 150 different types of
HPV, of which more than 40 have been linked to genital tract infections and
cancer. Genital HPV types are divided into low- and high-risk types based on
their potential to cause cervical and other lower genital tract cancers. HPV
types 6 and 11 are the most common low-risk types, causing about 90 percent of
genital and respiratory warts (Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis or RRP).
HPV types 16 and 18 are the most common high-risk types, causing about 70
percent of cervical cancers. These high-risk HPV types are also known to cause
some cancers of the anus, vulva, vagina and penis. The subtypes that cause
warts do not cause cancer.

Patience: A testimony of a patient
says that he didn't even thought that could get a virus like hpv. When he entered
to collage he had sex with some partners but he prevent using condoms, he
thought that with that it would not happen anything. Then he realized he had
hpv, and he contagious his girlfriend.

C.-What are the main causes of death in Mexican women?

Yourself: We think the main cause
of death in Mexican women is the breast cancer, because of stress, and all the
things that nowadays surround us in the world.

Doctor: Miguel Lázaro León, is an
oncologist in the General Hospital in Mexico of the Health Department that
confirm us that in Mexico every year 3,500 women die because of breast cancer.

Patience: Alejandra de Cima November 2001

She thought something like breast
cancer would never happened to her, and her doctor told her that she was too
Young to have that disease. But then she noticed she did have breast cancer. She
tells us that she knew that a lot of women have breast cancer, because she
started noticing in the people.

D.-what is the most common cancer in population on Mexican women?

Yourself: We think the most
common cancer that affect women is the breast cancer, because we have noun the
most cases of this cancer.

Doctor: 29% of the new cases of
cancer are breast cancer. In 2012 there were about 112,800 cancer cases were
diagnosed.

Breast cancer is the most common
diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death among Hispanic women.
With a total of 17,100 new invasive breast cancer cases and 2,400 breast cancer
deaths.

Patience: “We found that breast
feeding women of Mexican dissent is associated with triple negative breast cancer”
said Maria Elena Rodriguez , MPH,PHD,UC San Diego. “this 8was quite surprising.
No other study has seen this correlation before. Most studies show health benefits
of breast feeding”.

Recommendation to prevent HVP:

Ours recommendation to prevent
HPV is that before you have intercourse with your sexual partner, first you
check yourself by making a laboratory exam to know if you have the HPV viruses.
