When I was a child, my parents took me to the KFC or Pizza Hut as a reward. At that time, I love to eat fried food and pizza which are tasty and amazing. The salty and crunchy from the ingredients and texture are fantastic and different from daily meals which is light and flavorless. I just drank a cup of milktea from Gong cha - which is a Taiwanese milktea store. Gong cha was established in 2006 and has more than 1500 stores in 19 different countries. Therefore, the price is higher compared to the local stores.

Netflix is a streaming service that is originally from the US. However, it has appeared on more than 130 countries all over the world and it is common to see people install Netflix app on their phones. I really like "Modern Family" - a American family sitcom television series. Since I don't live in the US, it is hard for me to watch this series on TV on or anywhere else. However, I can watch it on Netflix and it is really convenient. Sadly, Netflix has just removed this series but I believe there are still numerous interesting things to see.

Today, I have eaten Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen for my breakfast. It is a South Korean brand of instant noodles provided by Samyang Foods since April 2012. It is ‘stir-fried’ dry noodles, and the most interesting fact about it is that it is considered the spiciest instant noodles. Today’s breakfast is not the first time I eat it but I still found it was too spicy to eat. In spite of the spice, the taste of the sauce is extremely wonderful. Since I am not a good spicy food eater, I usually add one-third of the sauce to my noodles :> I also learn that one tip to reduce the spice when eating is drinking milk. One pack of Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen is much more expensive than Vietnamese instant noodles, but I think it is reasonable because the taste is really nice, it makes me addicted to Samyang.

The show is what I like to say 13 reasons why wishes it was as good as this show since this one actually deal with major heavy theme such as suicidal, childhood drama, domestic abuse, drugs, sexual assault in a a very realistic way while maintaining a bit of dark humor in it.

Chang is the Thai restaurant that my family and I go to often. The menu is extremely diverse and most of them have typical dishes that are indispensable when it comes to Thai food. Typically Pad Thai, mango sticky rice, tomyum,... which are the dishes that people always want to try when coming to Thailand. This restaurant has many branches in HCMC and in my opinion, the food here is very suitable for Vietnamese taste and tastes quite similar to Thailand.

Today, me and my friends decided to eat some Ukrainian food. When talking about Ukrainian cuisine I just have to mention Borscht. Being raised in Ukraine, our Russian nannies used to often cook Borscht for us when we were little. Borscht is an iconic soup made of red beet, beef, and other variety of vegetables. This soup is often eaten with sour cream and bread or pampushky (Ukrainian garlic buns). In the past, the soup was the staple dish in the Soviet Union households, as a bowl of hot soup is just perfect for the cold weather.
And till this day Borscht remains one of my favourite dishes to have since it reminds me of my childhood and cold winter days in Ukraine.

Although not a new phenomena, globalisation has genuinely made the world a smaller place in which political, social, and economic developments in other parts of the world influence persons everywhere. Religion is one such identity. Globalisation fosters a pluralistic culture. Fundamentally, the world's major religious traditions—Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam—teach human dignity, equality, freedom, peace, and solidarity.

Buddhism is one of the world’s largest religions and originated 2,500 years ago in India. Buddhism in Vietnam is influenced by Mahayana practices which was developed across Mainland China, yet Buddhism has other two main branches which are Theravada and Vajrayāna. Vajrayāna was spread to Himalayan states, Nepal, Tibet, etc. where Buddhism culture is very unique and quite different from the other two branches. The three Buddhism branches represents for the diversity of different ethnicities in the world. Although Buddhist shares the same worship and belief, each branch and country generates different artistic and cultural elements from art, music, to architecture and cuisine.

Christianity is beliefs and faith in God and Jesus Christ. In the late 16th century, early 17th century, Vietnam began to trade with Western countries such as Portugal, the Netherlands, England, France. During this time, Christianity was first introduced to Vietnam. The cultural influence of Christianity could be discovered through beautiful churches in places such as Nam Dinh Vietnam or in Western countries. The Christian architecture brings lively and vibrant perspectives to Vietnamese.

In general, globalisation permits formerly separated faiths to have regular and inescapable interaction. Globalisation allows human to approach diverse beliefs, to discover the diversity in Buddhism culture and any other religious culture. Globalisation allows human to expand knowledge and vision in terms of religions.

Caneles is one of my favorite pastry made from flour, milk, egg yolk, butter, vanilla and decorated with thick caramelized crust. I remembered having my first cup of Starbucks when I was abroad for tourism in almost any international country. I was really amazed at the quality of its coffee because I haven't tried its coffee products before so I always hope that Starbucks will open a shop in the Vietnamese market. Right now, I can see lots of Starbucks in my area, particularly the capital city of Vietnam, Hanoi, and once in a while I will treat myself to a drink when going out with my friends or studying. However, the prices of Starbucks products are more expensive that local coffee brands such as Aha, Kafa or Highland so most of the time I will choose to drink at one of these local coffee shops.

I would say that I am really an avid follower of Korean culture. However, needless to say, I think that the K-culture in general, or Kpop or Kdrama to be more specific has exert significants impacts to people worldwide, not only me.

Today, everywhere we go, we can hear Kpop music playing in the background. We can see traditional Korean food restaurent mushrooming in every corner of the street. The place where I am living in right now is just next to numbers of restaurant like that.

Recently I have decided to revisit some of the classical American films from the Golden Age of Hollywood and was able to rewatch one of the most iconic musical films ever - 1965's The Sound of Music starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer.
The movie is set in late 1930s Austria and is about a young postulant, Maria, who was sent to be the governess to 7 children of a widowed naval captain. With love and music, Maria was able to reconnect the grieving father with his children. Along the way, Maria and the Captain fell in love and together as a family they must find a way to survive the loss of their Austrian homeland to Nazi Germany.
This movie is truly a timeless masterpiece with multiple famous and iconic musical scores like The Sound of Music, The Lonely Goathred, Edelweiss or My Favourite Things that can be enjoyed by everyone. I must highly recommend this movie to everyone who read this post.

I also found that there was a diversity due to region in their menu. For example, Southern Thai food tends to be much hotter than Thai food from other regions of Thailand and being heavily influenced by flavours and spices used in Indonesia and Malaysia, it is known for its sharp and intense taste. They are, both in their own right, one of the first thing that came to our mind when thinking about what makes SEA and European cuisine the way they are now.

Matcha is a traditional drink in Japan. For those of you who don't know, or maybe you already know that Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd. or MUJI is a Japanese retail company that sells a wide range of household and consumer goods in a minimalist and recyclable style. The name MUJI is translated as No-Brand Quality Goods on MUJI's European website. In the 1980s, MUJI started with 40 products including school supplies and home products. In 1987, MUJI began to develop materials globally. In 1991, MUJI opened its first international store in London. By the end of the 2000s, MUJI had sold more than 7,000 different products. MUJI has 579 International retail outlets as of August 2022.

The thing that impressed me at the very first time is the product design as well as the packaging of MUJI. MUJI's design style is no frills, minimalism, and Bauhaus style. When choosing MUJI products, it wasn't too difficult for me to read all the accompanying instructions affixed to the product. I've never been a fan of clumsy, or flowery, so MUJI's products are really eye-catching. That's the beauty of subtle minimalism.

Moreover, the price of imported products in general, or MUJI in particular, has never been cheap, at least compared to the market of home appliances or school supplies in Vietnam. Im a typical type of food lover since I transformed from my hometown to Ho Chi Minh city. This city has a variety of restaurants such as European, Thai or Mexican restaurants. However, my most impressive ones is Japanese food, especially omakase sushi. Omakase comes from the verb "makasu - 任す" which means to entrust, to trust. Instead of ordering your own food as you normally would, you'll leave your meal entirely in the hands of the chef. The fresh and artistic ingredients like sushi or sashimi are selected, prepared to be the most delicious and delicate dishes. That reason why I extremelly enjoy this type of food, diners will experience the feeling of waiting in excitement and surprise before each dish is served. Omakase restaurants are not mass-market and do not sell fixed dishes. Its culture is small shop so that I can sit near the chef to observe the cooking process, and at the same time listen to the introduction of my dish. The cost is expensive but it's really worth.

When I went to school today and tried the Curry Hut restaurant there, I was quite taken aback because I didn't expect it would be nearly as tasty as it was.
I am familiar with the practice of adapting the flavor profile of a dish from one country to another by bringing it to a new country and eating it there. Because of this, the Indian food that I sampled today does not accurately represent the cuisine of India. However, I believe that flavor is only one aspect, and I value the experience more than anything else.
In terms of the transmission of cultural values, I believe that one of the most significant "messengers" is food.
