I chose Teacher Annie as the witness of a Christian Lifestyle based on the documentary we viewed in class. She exhibits perseverance through her efforts to help the Mangyans who can't get reliable access to education every day. She also exhibits compassion because she is more than just a teacher to them, and helps them with their problems even at home. She also exhibits trustworthiness because the Mangyans are able to put their trust in her along with showing up to teach every day without fail. I am influenced to form a Christian lifestyle for myself due to her actions for others' sakes. The fact that she dosen't ask for anything in return and teaches due to pure compassion, that is what influences me to pursue a Christian lifestyle. I am also influenced to pursue this lifestyle to serve others in the community and in the AJHS, so they may pass it on to others in turn.

I chose Delfin Villafuerte as the witness of a Christian Lifestyle based on the YouTube video posted in the classroom. In my opinion, he exhibits the role as persons-for-others, as instead of going to different high-class corporations to pursue his job and obtain higher salaries in the future, he committed to teach the poor students in our country o yung mga nasa laylayan ng bayan. He also exhibits the 5CS as he has compassion, commitment, conscience, christ-centeredness and competence for serving the poor or the people who don't get to experience proper education. I'm influenced to also use the knowledge I gained from the recent and previous grade levels in teaching others such as the people we're gonna meet in the DAMA Service Session soon.

Delfin Villafuerte

One of the things incredible about Delfin is his courage. He was able to say to his parents that he wanted to pursue to serve the people with the kindness of his heart and I'm sure he has had some thoughts that what if they do not accept it because sent him to a private school just to become a public school teacher. Luckily, his parents were supportive of his decision and loved him the way he is. Another thing that made me see his admiring values is his will to serve the Philippines. He was inspired that many people served the country and he felt that he should do his part as a citizen. He thought more of himself and saw the world more than just making money and buying things. He saw it as a place that needed help and needs someone like him to become a leader.

I am influenced in a way where I as an Atenean should also be doing my part in the community. I now feel that it is unfair, for me to just be sitting down and waiting for the time where I could make my own money or be at the age when I could be helping people but that age is now. That is was before and that is where I am right. I could've been helping others when I had nothing to do but all I do is lay down because "I'm lazy." I am now inspired to do more kind and give more to others than just keep giving to myself and I only.

I chose teacher Annie because I was inspired by her commitment to continuously teach children who are unable to receive proper education, even though she knows that she could just stop teaching them and not go to their area anymore. She was determined to teach her students even though going to the school would be difficult. This just shows how compassionate she is with her job. I think that to her it’s not a job anymore but a way for her to show love to the students.
