Cyclone Debbie hit areas of Queensland and the tail of Cyclone Debbie hit New Zealand. Because of this, New Zealand received downpours and strong winds. Winds over 260km were experienced on Queensland's Coast. Cyclone Debbie travelled from the Indian Ocean to the Coral Sea and then onto the coast of Queensland. After Cyclone Debbie two organisations who helped out the community that interested me were:
"Salvation Army Emergency who are feeding residents in affected communities."-(https://volunteeringqld.org.au/blog/1202-volunteering-for-cyclonedebbie) The Salvation Army also cleared the roads, helped schools reopen that had been afftected in the Cyclone and restored power. The Salvation army began their work on the 29th of March.

Even though the Cyclone was more than a month ago The Australian Red Cross is still on the go to make sure the residents that were affected are still coping all right with the clean-up but also mentally coping.

It will cost them a lot of time, effort and money to repair all that was lost in the Tropical Cyclone, for example:  over 300 schools were destroyed, the Great Barrier Reef damaged, floods blocked highways, roads and homes were ripped apart.  All this destruction caused by one Cyclone.
A lot of locals were left with no electricity.

Environment impacts and the impacts on the coral reef.
After Cyclone Debbie according to the Courier Mail-(http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/queensland/cyclone-debbies-surprising-impact-on-great-barrier-reef/news-story/8eeaff0eb307c09bb4c0195ddb60571c) the cyclone has helped the coral reef. "“Cyclone Debbie looks like the turning point to allow the Reef to bounce back from this mass coral bleaching event,’’ marine biologist Jess Walker said. “With water temperatures down to about 28C, there will be less stress on the coral, less chance of bleaching, and less chance of coral mortality.’’-(Courier Mail) But unfortunately this was only a small part of the Great Barrier Reef. Other damage was caused by high winds and prior damage caused over recent years when the Great Barrier Reef has been subject to bleaching and dying from human impact. When a coral is bleaching it turns a sicky, pale, white colour.
I find it interesting that the Reef might have been assisted by reduced temperatures even though there would have been physical damage from such a strong Cyclone.

Economic Impacts.
According to the ABC  (http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-04-18/cyclone-debbie-hits-queensland-budget-bottom-line/8450170)  the catorgery 4 Cyclone will cost a lot, considering it smashed up everything in its path,  it is estimated to be around the billions of dollars. There will need to be a lot of charities, support from states around Australia and all hands on deck until everything is clear and up and running smoothly once again.

Social impacts and impacts on land.
Cyclone Debbie left many locals in distress and loss. Many of them were hiding in their homes and hoping the Cyclone would be over.
The disaster that Cyclone Debbie left was incredible.  The damage was distressing for all the locals and communities that had to live through the torment and the clean-up.  This affects the locals who were caught in the storm, the locals that lost homes, shops, schools, and family members.
