Football Club Partonopeo was founded in 1926 in the city of Naples as a small club in the 3rd categoria aka the ninth and final division of italy founded by William Poths and Ernesto Bruschini but the club originally started in the early 1900s. In 1926 is when they were an official club merged together by 2 napoli teams which were US Internazionale Napoli and Napoli FBC

Failure And New Success

When Napoli got founded they barely had any good players until they won the coppa italia in 1962 while being in the serie B which has only happened twice in the italian soccer league since it was founded in 1893 2 years later they got promoted to Serie A for the first time in club history when they got promoted they landed 3rd at the end of the serie A season which was a historical performance.

In late 1927 Napoli changed their logo and name. They changed their name to Societa Sportiva Calcio Napoli.

In the 1967-1968 season Napoli won the Coppa Della Alpi against juventus and landed 2nd in the serie A coached by the magnificent Bruno Pesaola

In 1984 Napoli bought Maradona from Barcelona for 10.48 million dollars/15 Billion italian lire which was worth more than the whole bank of Naples. This purchase set a worldwide transfer record.

First League Title

In the 1986/1987 season when Napoli had the best team ever in Napoli club history with a big trio of Maradona,Careca,Giordano Carnevale. At the end of the season with Juventus and Inter right behind them in the table Napoli tied against Fiorentina 1-1 to win the serie a title

First Trophies & First Rivals 1906-1911

In this time period Napoli won 2 Salsi Cups against Palermo their new southern rivals later in 1911,Napoli won the Noli Da Costa Cup in 1911 and multiple trophies in the third categoria 1908-1909

Ascarelli Era 1926-1930

When Giorgio Ascarelli realized football was a phenomenon he instantly scheduled a meeting at Piazza Della Carita for all members of the InterNapoli to change the name to Associazione Calcio Napoli he also did this because the name International Napoli was unwelcoming to the new fascist regime.

In the same year Ascarelli also became the first president of the club in 1927 when the southern and northern leagues decided to make the national league and offered Napoli admission ,Napoli wanted to join but to do this they had to win the Lega Campano which we did becoming one of 3 southern teams admitted into this new league

On 1926 october 3rd the first Napoli captain

Paolo Incoccenti the young Italian Brazilian man stepped on the pitch with a attendance of 213 in the small ground the game started just to be humiliated 2-0 in that season Napoli placed 10th in group A with a singular point.But we were not relegated instead readmitted back into the league.
