Joyce Gutelius-How nice it was to see teachers that Kevin and Scott had and my year teaching at the Library (which I loved and thought I’d be the new librarian but was told by the end of the first year that all the other librarian’s would take

a day off and go to Milbridge. So I worked for a half a year going to all of the schools and finally got ACE…which by the way, I was scared to death having no idea what I was to do and neither did

the school principals. It took me a year to realize I was in love with my job, but no longer a job, it was a joy for 20 years. Then I was given the sixth grade LA classes when they took the program away from that

everywhere in the county. No problem, I was so thankful I worked in Delran. It was a real blessing. See you soon.

Karen Martino-Thank you for all you do to keep the group up to date. I am currently in Minnesota with my father who is on hospice. We are taking things a day at a time. I hope you get a good turn out for lunch and I hope one day to be able to attend.

I'm sorry I haven't responded. I was holding off because we are in the process of trying to move. We want to go to a 55 plus community, so we've spent the last 3 months getting rid of "stuff" that we've accumulated over the past 45 years in this house. We found a house we liked, but someone outbid us, so now we will continue to look. We finished cleaning out our house, the stager and photographer came, but we won't put it on the market until we find something. Therefore, we are free to come to Dooney's on Wednesday. We'll see you there! We've been thinking of you and hoping all is well.

Hi and thank you for posting. I truly enjoyed looking through past pics- weren't we the happiest bunch working together "back then."? Teaching was my dream job... I was the happiest person when I left my interview appointment at Millbridge School with Mr. Dinger. I remember looking back at the name on the school thinking "I could be so happy at Millbridge Elementary School" - and I was.

I loved looking through the pics... and I was reading the obituaries, too. Never realized Norma died. I liked working with her a lot!

Any way, I won't be at the April lunch..hopefully the May lunch.

In the meantime I'm getting cowgirl boots so I can dance better with you and Tom.

We are trying to finish hurricane damage before heading north. I'll be in touch.

While I'd love to join you on the 5th, Passover begins at sundown. For those of us preparing or celebrating in some fashion, attending wouldn't be possible. Perhaps next time..

Day of: Susan Caccese isn't coming.
So sorry to be so last minute about cancelling today. Some sad news ,- my infant granddaughter passed away last Friday. My family and I are greatly mourning her loss. Her twin sister remains in the NICU and appears to be progressing so that is our blessing.

Hope to join you next time and remember me to everyone.
Bruce and Rosemary are tired of unpacking and are coming.
Warren may not come depending on when the visiting Zack leaves
Suzanne and husband will come but have dr appt at 1:45
Marcia is coming; couldn't get a hold of Judi.

I sent an email on Christmas about the first 2024 DEAR lunch and put a mixed day/date. It's actually Thursday, Jan. 11th. Only two responses so far - Joyce G. and Kathy Clauson both no but looking forward to future attendance.

Rosemary and Bruce are good for it and hopefully Rosina and Jimmy won't end up with any conflicts.

I am sad attendance at these (and responses) has/have been diminishing.

I am only telling responders what the corrected day/date is because if they don't care why should I?

Jean Lombardi wrote and spoke of the mixed up date but can come to either day. Yay! That's potentially six now, with me. (12/28)
