Q1: What is the significance of the feast that takes place in Attean's village?

A1: A significance that takes place in Attean's village is located on pg. 79 when you can infer that Matt is getting accepted into a actual tribe, and now has well-trained Indians that have his back. Another significance that takes place at the village feast is located on pg. 82, when Matt is given fresh, mouthwatering food, and also gives him heaps of company and people to talk and share his adventurous stories with other Indians. The last significance that I spotted in this chapter is also on pg. 82, when you can infer that Matt can visit the village at almost anytime if any of his tools break or if he cannot find anything to eat or rarely found.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Q2: Why was it important for Matt to be there?
A2: One reason why it was immensely important for Matt to visit the tribe's special feast that celebrated the bear kill is now he can finally socialize with other Indians, excluding Attean, and be accepted in a actual tribe (as said in first question response) . Also, now Matt can live with others as a "family" and has Indians by his back. This are two important reasons why Matt made the right choice to attend the feast.
Q- What was the significance of the feast that takes place in Attean's village?
A- The feast was significant because it was about the bear that Matt and Attean killed, but it could also show how much the Natives respect the forest. I believe this because the Native Americans in "The Sign of the Beaver" or any in general think that the forest is a very sacred place and that you should respect everything in it. This is why they must hold special events for when they kill giant animals from the forest, so they could show that they were very thankful for it's sacrifice of life.
-------------------------------------------------
Q- Why was it important for Matt to be there?
A- It was important for Matt to be there because it shows that he is starting to be accepted in the tribe and that he is starting to gain Attean's respect because I mean why would you invite someone anywhere without liking or respecting that person.
Use evidence from the text to support your answer.
A- The feast that took place in Attean's village was very important for many reasons. One reason is that this feast meant great honor to Attean. By this I mean Attean was greatly honored for killing the bear. It was also very important for Matt to be there. This is because Matt was a big help killing the bear. It could also be a sign of friendship. Every chapter Attean and Matt get closer together.
Answer: The feast that was held in Attean's village was very important for several reasons. To start off with, readers can infer that this is a huge honor to Attean. When the feast first began, they held a ceremony for the killing of the bear. Attean got to put his lips on his grandfather's pipe. He was proud, no doubt. Attean told the other Indians what had happened, and they laughed at Matt, yet thought that it was brave of the white man. Another importance of the feast was that Matt was invited. He was, by all means, shocked that he got to go. He decided to go, and had a great time. He got to dance with the Indians until his legs were numb, talked to the Indians without being looked at like a different kind of species, and had seconds on the delicious, spicy bear stew. He finally felt like he the Indians were giving him a chance. since Attean invited him to the feast. Maybe he thinks Attean respects him now. In conclusion, this is the significance of the feast in Attean's village.
The feast was important because it shows that people in Attean's tribe are giving Matt a chance, or it shows that Attean is finally giving respect to Matt. The Beaver tribe wouldn't just let a white man to a feast, after all the experience they have had with white men before. All the Indians were having fun with Matt being there, they were dancing, talking peacefully to each other, eating. I believe that it was important for Matt to be there because Attean wasn't the only one who killed the bear, Matt did too. It would not be fair to not share the bear with the person (Matt) who partially helped kill the bear. Also, it was important for Matt to be there so that Attean and Matt get along. Every moment of the book is there for a reason, that chapter was important to get to the ending of the book. On the back cover it stated that Matt has been invited to join the Beaver tribe. Maybe, after chapter 16, he invites him. This is because the whole tribe got to know Matt and he seemed like a Indian because of Attean's teachings.
The significance of the feast that takes place in Attean's village was that it was to celebrate or congratulate Attean for killing the bear, so they can have a lot of food. It was important for Matt to be at the feast because like that Matt can calm down and stop having a lot of trouble with his dad maybe not coming back. The feast can also be important because it is the first time they are having a white men. They could also be testing Matt to see if he is trustworthy. Also the tribe might be having more respect in Matt and are giving him a chance. Maybe it can also be a test to see if they should trust the white men. In addition a chief is a leader of something, so it is really important for you to be there, especially if your people are enemies with them. Also since the white people are becoming enemies with Attean's tribe maybe the chief or Attean's grandfather is seeing some change in Matt. Finally Attean might also be having more respect with Matt, so he told his grandfather to invite him.
Also it is important for Matt to be there because the chief (aka grandfather of attean) had invited him, and if a chief invite someone it mean he is important to the feast (evidence: Ch.16 page 77 3rd paragraph. ) It was also important for him to go because he killed a bear which was hard to kill for beginner like Matt also you could use all part of the bear and make something new. This is why it was Important for Matt to go there. So they could celebrate. It was important for Matt to be at the feast because the person who invited him is the chief (The chief is a important person in an indian tribe). This shows that the feast was a sign of peace and respect. If matt didn't want to go and never showed up with Attean, their respect and peace could be broken and they might have thought that Matt didn't care for them.
The beast was very dangerous so the village was celebrating the death of the beast. But on page 82, Attean did not want to eat the bear that he hunted.
