SUMMARY

Some influences that lead towards issues on garbage around Asia country are garbage are not collected properly which resulted in trash piling up in communal dump. Next, sanction garbage dump sites are intentionally build up near rivers are one of the factors. Then garbage pickers tend to focus on high values item and skip over much of the waste which later ends up in the sea are also factors leading to issues on garbage. Besides that, in poor Asian countries, companies churning out plastic packaging to help poverty-stricken. Furthermore, beauty products to instants noodles are sold in tiny and cheap quantities are one of the contributing factors leading to garbage issue. In addition, in some countries with inadequate law, garbage truck driver dump trash by roadside to save time and fuel. Lastly, plastic being throw illegally are also contributing factors leading to issues on garbage in Asia countries.

ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY

Paper comes from trees. In today’s electronic age, people are starting to consider going paperless but there are still a long way to go before we lose our dependence on this very important human product. From our newspaper to our paper wrappings, paper is still everywhere and most of them are ending up in our landfills creating a staggering amount of paper waste. There was a time when paper was a rare and precious commodity. Now it fills our planet. It was initially invented as a tool for communication but today, paper is used more for packaging and for students especially in examination all around the world including Malaysia. Everything takes energy to produce. In the case of paper, it also involve cutting down trees. I strongly agree with the statement to have a ‘paperless’ classroom and at the same time to help in saving the environment. There are a lots of ways that can used to give students notes and assignments instead of using paper in Malaysia such as students can copy notes by using tablets and phones. Besides, lecturer can use online tests to the students and lastly is students can use e-mail or another online connection to exchange documents or assignments.

First and foremost, one of the way to deal with this problem is students should copy notes by using tablets and smart phones. Nowadays, tablets and smart phones has many benefits and electronic documents. However, for some students, writing notes by hand is still easier than typing them on a mobile device but in this case to having a paperless classroom, this way can reduce the amount of paper waste. Electronic documents is a paper documents that has been scanned and converted to a computer file, typically Microsoft Word or adobe that surely can have it on every mobile devices lately. Paper is expensive, wasteful, far from secure and has very little place in the future of business. While some businesses things they do not need to move away from paper, getting started with this practise has never been so crucial. Knowing how to make the transition from paper to digital documents can be difficult and there are no better way to get things of the ground than to implement a well-designed document management system. So, this paperless plan can help student.

Besides, the another way to achieve the paperless classroom is doing online tests or examinations. While online tests are certainly more convenient than paper and pencil tests, what administrator should also take into consideration is if, and how they impact the test taking process. Many people assume that reading speed and comprehension on a computer will naturally be slower than reading from paper. However, several recent studies concluded that there is no significant difference in reading speed no matter if a subject is reading from a paper or from a computer screen. Moreover, online test allow for the addition of multimedia. Online test generators offer the option of adding videos, image, sound clips and more to a test item to help enrich the content. Cheating is also more difficult with online tests. This is because when having a test or examination, there will use a lot of papers and can leads to wasting of paper since there are a lot of papers used.

Last but not least, the effective way to organise the paperless classroom is by using e-mail or internet to exchange documents or assignments instead of printing or faxing. Students in the classroom have traditionally used so much paper as they wrote out their ideas on separated sheets and then came together to see what they had done. However, with this way, students can work from their own devices to create and collaborate on the same documents at the same time. Individual and group rough drafts that would take many pages in a notebook can now be completed on devices without a single piece of paper. The finished product can then be shared together to the lecturers without having to print out a multiple-page document. For example, lecturers can use e-learning to deliver announcements or assignments to their students. It also easier the students to submit their assignments. Besides, all the presentations should be done by using slide show and then send it to the lecturer by using e-mail right after they finished their presentation. This way also can help students to submit their assignments on time because the due date is easy to measure and on the same time it can help to save the environments.

In my opinion, Malaysian government has striven toward effective solid waste management by establishing a proper solid waste management legislation and system. Legislation, institutions, goals and objectives of solid waste management in Malaysia have been prepared and formulated. Technically, evolution of municipal solid waste management in Malaysia would enhance social tranquility, economic stability and environmental efficiency. However, high levels of commitment from all stakeholders in solid waste management are desperately required. So the way to stay paperless is students can copy notes by using tablets or phones, lecturers use online tests and students use e-mail to exchange documents. The awareness among Malaysian on solid waste is still concerned.
