the woman in this era had very little of not no control over their future/destiny. Instead, males made most of the choices for the females with little consultation and compromise.

Education for women?
Women were only allowed to go to school if they were members of nobility (high class quality). If they were not a part of a royal family, they were forced to stay home and learn to organise and be the leader of the household. However, even women of nobility were unable to attend university, and instead were taught by tutors who came to their house. Education throughout this era consisted of knowledge in several different languages, such as : Latin, Greek, Italian, and French.  

Every since birth, it was mandatory for woman to be taught how to govern and "perform domestic duties," they did this to ultimately make their husbands proud. 

Elizabethan marriages: 
Woman were obliged to provide a "dowry" which is generally something that is given from the woman that will contribute to the marriages. Some of these things included: amounts of money, goods or property.
