He has a lack of social skills but he is a very happy kid who enjoys building legos and assembling cars. Andrew participates in lunch, recess, and special area subjects alongside general education students. 


We chose the Stand up, hand up, pair up technique because it allows him to interact with his peers but one at a time so he does not feel overwhelmed.

This video is a great idea for Andrew as the instructions are given in a step by step form. This would be very easy for Andrew to follow and to get help if needed. Also, the activity contains moving desks and acting out pieces as a group. Andrew is a 10 year old, only child who is in the fifth grade. Andrew has difficulty with speech and language and has been classified Communication Impaired. He receives services with social skills as well. 

His strengths include being capable of following all of his teacher's instructions step by step and he doesn't display any negative behaviors in the classroom. 

As a group, we decided that Team Assisted Individualization is the appropriate strategy that will help Andrew. Due to his communication,speech and learning impairments, we felt like TAI was the most effective because children are grouped together to work on problems together and grade each other's work. -His major difficulties include expressive language and developmental deficits such as speech and language,  reading, counting, telling time, and analyzing stories.
-His strengths include following a routine, initiating social greetings, being attentive in class and following step by step directions.
-Jigsaw Learning Strategy: This strategy will help Andrew in English because the Jigsaw method breaks down large topics into sections for students to learn and present. Like the popcorn business, this will empower Andrew by taking charge of a topic's subsection and presenting it
