From the bird’s-eye viewpoint, it is easy to determine where Dolly the Dolphin is. The body of water can be separated into four smaller square sections, each section being 500 metres by 500 metres. The body of water is drawn into a Cartesian coordinate system. In a race, Dolly must swim in a straight line, and we take all coordinates and points from the bird’s-eye viewpoint. The starting location of the race is (-8, -9) and the finish point of the race is (7, 9). What is the equation of the straight line of the race from bird’s-eye viewpoint?

12 Argentinian miners have particularly eccentric personalities, which led them to their exotic employment path. The new tram system for use in the mines is incredibly efficient at descending vertically, but not perfectly. To find the equation of the line as to assure a safe travel downwards, they'll need to freshen up on their math. They plot the mines on a 2-D Cartesian Plane, with the shaft tram-track beginning at the origin (0, 0). After 10 minutes, the tram has reached the point (1.5, -15). Find the equation of the line.

Two professional surf boarders, Max and Tyler, went on a trip together in Miami, Florida. Entering the beach, they are told upon entering regarding the vast amount of sharks and their ruthlessness. Without fear, the two courageously ignore the native and walk into the waves. After a km, swimming on top of their boards, they stand up, preparing to ride the incoming wave. However as Max stood up a strong force hit the side of his board. Knocking him over into the water. As he swam towards Tyler, Tyler dove behind Max into the deep, dark blue water. Noticing the outline of a great white shark swim through the reefs sand. Ten feet long at least. In desperation, Max swam up reaching for his knife. Kept to cut the rope on his surfboard, never mind a shark. He screamed looking around for Tyler as he treaded in the water. However he couldn't find him, and swam a few meters to his surfboard. As he got on he, looked down and noticed two sharks trailing eastward. Thinking this could be Tyler, instinctively Max turned his board and moved in the same direction. However a local Navy veteran jetted towards him in a speedboat. Helping Max onto the boat, the vet looked down into the water from the edge. Unable to make out any person or shark. He raced the boat to shore.

Luckily that day the vet had advanced fishing technology on board, which noted there was a human heat signature at points (4,-9) on it's plane. Furthermore, it placed the sharks at points (-1,7) before they disappeared.

A few hours passed, and a scientist noted the waves would push anybody in a constant pattern. Also finding another human signature 2 hours before the incident at 10 on the x axis. But the y is unknown.

Find the equation of the line and y to help uncover this mystery, and help find Tyler.
