Two people have gotten invitations to come to this island by two different people (who are likely just one person pretending to be different people).

All 10 guests are at the dock and getting ready to board the little motor boat that will take them to solider island. Most of the guests are suspicious and confused on why they are accompanied by each other.

All the guest goes to their room. Vera recongizes the poem very well from her childhood. When Vera looks out the window it makes her think of drowning. Later Dr Armstrong arrives and as he goes in the house he passes by Justice Wargrave.

The guests enjoy dinner and begin to relax in spite of the odd circumstances. They notice a set of ten figures sitting in the center of the table and immediately associate the figures with the rhyme that hangs framed in all of their rooms. When dinner is over, the whole company moves into the drawing room. Everyone except Mrs. Rogers is in the drawing room when suddenly the group hears a mechanical-sounding voice, seemingly coming from nowhere. Mrs Roger standing outside the room faints. Mrs Roger's husband and Dr. Armstrong helps her to the bed, when Mr. Roger came back he explained that he and his wife had never seem their employer Mr. Owen.

The conversation shifts towards the accusations made by the voice on the recording, and the guests begin to defend themselves. Wargrave, who was accused of killing Edward Seton, explains that Seton was a suspected murderer, and Wargrave acted as the judge who passed a sentence on him. Armstrong, who remembers the case well, privately recalls that everyone believed Seton would be acquitted, but Wargrave influenced the jury, which ultimately found Seton guilty.

Wargrave suggests they leave in the morning as soon as the boat arrives, all the guests but one concur. Tony Marston suggests they ought to stay and solve the case. He then takes a drink, chokes on it, and dies.

everyone went to bed. everyone was having dreams of the murders committed. The general found out his wife was cheating on him and got him killed in war. Mrs. Rogers died in her sleep.

Everyone found out about Mrs. Rogers death and is thinking about how she died. Everyone thinks it was Mr. Rogers who killed his wife out of fear that his wife would give their secret away. They supposidly killed an old lady they worked for.

Everyone starts accusing each other about who might be Owen. Some are suspicious of Lombard for bringing a revolver to the island. Others are suspicious of Mr. Rogers because a group of the guests found him in the room with Mrs. Rogers' body which he claimed was only because he was picking up some belongings. Dr. Armstrong is also a suspect since he gave Mrs. Rogers a sedative the night before she died to help her sleep. Blore thinks that perhaps the doctor gave her an overdose purposefully to kill Mrs. Rogers. Today's reading ends with all the guests being called to lunch.

146-170

First, General Macarthur died. We are unsure of how he died but Armstrong thinks that he was hit in the head or something. After hearing this news, everyone reconvines and they come to an agreement that there is no one else on the island and therefore Owen must be one of them. Their discussion continues and they decide that everyone is a suspect unless proven otherwise with facts. Today's reading ended with everyone going around telling their alibis.

170-190

It's night time and everyone goes to bed, making sure to lock and bolt their doors. The next morning two people have gone missing, Miss Brent and Mr. Rogers. Miss Brent eventually comes back from a trip outside and Mr. Rogers is found dead. He died while preparing wood for the kitchen fire with a huge cut in the back of his head. This is really interesting because she was like our groups number one suspect.

190-212

Emily Brent dies. Dr. Armstrong is suspected because he had the type of syringe that was responsible for killing her. All of the guests are searched by one another and all of the items that are deemed "dangerous" get locked away in a chest that is locked in a cubbard. The keys are given to two people instead of one to make it difficult for the killer to get the items.
