what the topic means to me is that the looks of a person can be very different than how they really are. I think that its important to not judge people based off their looks because you never know who that person could be. In the book, multiple people were judged. For example Selena, she was judged for her looks and was told she needed to change. They said, "tu miras una chica" This hurt Selena's feelings and impacted the way she looked.

to me this means that you can look or act some way but be something completely different. also its very important to not judge people on something that they can fix while focusing on the stuff that's on the inside not the outside. for example in Selena, " hombres hacen muchos mas dinero son mujeres." this shows that even though Selena isn't a man she can produce and even do better than some men, revealing that looks can really be deciving

I think that the topic of appearance is deceiving becuase some people may look appealing but really they arn't a good person. People related eto this since many people get based of the cover of their appearance and not the inside. For example in the story it states, " Selena, a catorce anos, se transformo con UN Nuevo look". This shows that Selena had to change her appearance to be apealing for her singing. This makes me feel that people would only first listen to her based on her appearance but not because her singing is good.

People shouldn't be judged by how they look. How someone behaves or their personality is more important then someones looks but can be overlooked if someone appears a certain way. Selana is judged by her looks.

I feel like judging people based off how they look is wrong as peoples personality can be different than their appearance. This can connect to anyone since, you can be judge anyone based off their appearance even if you never spoke to them before so it really shouldn't define that person.
