Similarity: When Marco Polo had visited he had fallen in love with the place and so did the Americans.

Similarity: One similarity was that they both traveled on camel at some point, Marco Polo only knew that way to travel and the two Americans had no choice but to travel on the camels when the cars were no option.

Similarity: Marco Polo's group mates some where killed, sold and the rest hid. When the Americans got caught the people holding them captive didn't kill until something was done wrong.
