Pocahontas’ real name isn’t Pocahontas. Her real name is Matoaka, which means “flower between two streams,” Because she was born between the two rivers of Mattaponi and Pamunkey. 

   Pocahontas didn’t bring food to Jamestown. Jamestown was 12 miles from Werowocomoco. She can’t walk or ride a canoe for 12 miles! She was only a 10 years old girl. The canoe is heavy and needs many people to lift the canoe into the water. 

   Pocahontas didn’t save John Smith. Indians wouldn’t kill a man with no command of the chief. Also children couldn’t do a thing that time.

   Pocahontas married another Indian at 14 years old. His name was Kocoum. So before she married John Rolfe, she married Kocoum..

I ate lunch after riding a pony. It was the best lunch ever. There was so much delicious food.After eating lunch I started studying. Studying is not easy but I am getting better everyday.      The first animal that might be extinct is Kakapo. They live in New Zealand. They are parrots. They can be hunted easily because they can’t fly! That’s why they are disappearing fast. 

     The second animal is Black Rhino. Black Rhino lives in east South Africa. People hunt them to get their horns. Also, they lost their habitats while people are making farms. 

     The third animal is the Snow Leopard. They live in Eastern Himalayas. People hunted them to get their fur. Because of humans, 30% of their habitat is gone in the Himalayas. 

     Many animals are endangered. Some of them are being extinct right now. We need to think about them, and protect their habitats. Do not hunt animals for their fur or their horns or anything. I wish no more animals will be extinct. 

          The Police asked the servant about the case. However, there were only 2 servants in the mansion, and one servant was gone.  The servants in the mansion answered to the police. One of them said, “I think I heard a gun shooting last night. I worked very hard yesterday, and I was very tired. So I'm not sure what happened. Another servant said, “I heard a doorbell ringing last night,Tom went out last night. He usually doesn’t go out at night, but yesterday, he went out.” Also, Tom had a gun in his hand. But people had no idea how he got that gun. That gun was not a gun that Tom had. Police tried to find the servant who was gone. However, they couldn’t find him. 

        One person said Tom was talking to a servant yesterday. Another guy said, a stranger came to visit Tom. They had a very long talk, and Tom seemed scared. Also he saw a person running last night. 

       Tom had no wounds of guns on him. The police said he had a knife wound.

I was surprised when She said she was scattering rice for the whole time. Because I was guessing that Sam was going out through the window to run from the house. 

    Halmoni was hiding her sad stories from others. She was telling others bright stories and having sad stories inside her. I think the meaning of ‘Halmoni stole the stories’ means she was hiding them inside. I feel like she was wrong. She said sad stories are bad, so she had them alone. She could have shared the story. If she did, she didn’t need to suffer from having all the sadness alone. 

    In this book I learned that you shouldn’t keep the sadness and hard things alone and suffer all by yourself. You can tell people and the sadness will become smaller. Even if you are scared to tell them, you will feel much better if you share them.

     First, releasing is taking someone's life. You can’t take someone’s life even if they did something bad. In this book they release when they get too old, break rules more than 3 times, and when a baby is weak or different. Those can’t be a reason to take someone’s life. 

     Second, people don’t know what ‘release’ means. People think it’s sending to somewhere else. But it’s not. It should only be done if they know what it is and agree to do it. Else, it’s the same as murdering a person. Just because they don't know what 'release' is, that doesn't mean it is just = right. Ignorance is a sin.

     Lastly, other people can’t see it. If people can see the release, they might know something is weird. People living in the community will get released eventually. They at least should see what is going to happen to them.
