The concept of "Form Follows Function" means that the form or the aesthetics of the structure must follow its function so that the architectural structure can perform the function. Even though the structure is based on the function, the architectural structure must not be purely utilitarian. It must also consider its aesthetics for the structure to exceed from just a simple building. That's why James Walter Schildroth argued that the phrase "Form Follows Function" has become mundane, thus he replaced the phrase to "Form And Function Are One" to bring transcendence to architecture.
