Protein is also essential for the growth and development of children, adolescents, and pregnant women.</p><p><strong>How many portions a day should be eaten?&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Children and adults: It is recommended to consume 2 to 3 servings of dairy products a day. Older adults: The appropriate amount is at least 3 dairy products a day, but ideally 4 servings a day.
