Which of the Ten Ethical Computing Guidelines do you think students violate most often?

I believe the first commandment is the one that students violate the most. I say this because across the entirety of the internet you can go to peoples videos of pictures and find such critical comments dragging the creator down. This had led to the age of cyber bullying and it has become so prevalent that now schools are having programs addressing this issue because of the psychologicalharm being done.

Why do you think these violations occur?

These violations occur because since people are behind a computer screen they act put on a persona and therefore say and act however they want. This leads to people sending hateful comments especially on Youtube videos where there are a flurry of bashful comments and this has led to many content creators taking down videos. The appeal of masking yourself is one people take full advantage of so whenever they are done writing whatever comments they wrote they will feel no remorse once stepping away from the screen because that was "username: XYZ".

What do you think could be done to reduce or eliminate such unethical behavior?

The best way to eliminate such behavior is through restriction and education. On multiple platforms where there are comments available to be written the company should specify certain words to be filtered so that if typed the person will be banned immediately or be given a warning. This is essential because then it will prevent people from writing hateful comments and instead promote positivity and make websites safer. Regarding education I believe students should have to take rigorous computer ethic courses so that they mature at a very young age. If that is successful the use of internet among the younger generation will be one that is beneficial.
