My name is David and I am a student in the MI program at Rutgers University. I have a bachelor's degree in history, and during my undergrad study I was particularly fascinated by ancient Greek mythology. Stories of gods and heroes reminded me of modern stories I love so much, and I was captivated by the fact that these stories were thousands of years old. I wanted to put together this curation of materials to make it easier to explore and understand some of the important stories of Greek mythology. Hopefully, you'll come to love them as much as I do! A constant presence in these stories is their role as a moral guide for humans, and in this story this is shown through Zeus' test. It is one of my personal favorite stories from all of the mythology, and it serves as an ancient explanation for the existence of the changing seasons throughout the year. Some stories, like this one, were ways of understanding and connecting with nature for believers.

This is Homer's telling of the Trojan War and the gods and heroes that played their parts in its conclusion. It's one of my all-time favorite books and is packed with mythological action!
