Join us on Wednesday from 11:30-12:30 in the Grogan's Mill Peripheral Meeting Room!

The High-Performance Spaceflight Computing (HPSC) Program is a NASA partnership jointly funded by STMD and Microchip to provide transformational advances in onboard computing capabilities. HPSC is anticipated to have infusion targets across science, human, and robotic missions. These missions are expected to be longer, with harsh environments, long communication latency, higher mission complexity, and lower power, thus necessitating a new radiation hardened processor with increased performance, flexibility, and I/O connectivity. To address increasing sensor data bandwidth and limited downlink bandwidths, these missions may also leverage the increased computing capabilities for onboard science data processing to maximize science return. This presentation will cover the capabilities of HPSC and the intended roll out process.
