What is Learning

Learning can be a lot of things like taking care of a baby sibling for the first time in your life or getting your first job, or home etc. Something that helped me understand something or anything about working were my coworkers at my first job at Texas Roadhouse, I had to learn a lot go thing while working there and I had to talk to people I didn't know who were guest or people who I worked with. I've learned and they've taught me how to speak to guest when they come in, they taught me what to say such as "Hello, how many people are in your party (The number of guest for a table)", asking do they want to pick a steak, getting them bread and etc. I've learned a lot and I would get frustrated from time to time but it helped me learn when I would get frustrated and upset dealing with rude guests, but that helped me learn what I needed to do just like how some of my assignments would get me frustrated and after some times I would get what the assignment is about. So that's what learning is for me.

AI & English 101 Skills

There are different skills you get and there are different skills that AI uses in English 101. Some of the readings in class shows what skills AI can help and some skills it takes away from students such as critical thinking, and brainstorming. These are from the article named "ChatGPT May Be Eroding Critical Thinking Skills, According to a New MIT Study". When it comes to using AI for English 101 those skills are taken away from you and leaves you with a fading sense of ownership, writing as a human process, challenges in school, and personal expression diminished. These are from the article named "How ChatGPT robs students of motivation to write and think for themselves". How frustrating it is to do this assignment and giving up on it to come back and trying my best to complete it.
Me completing this assignment.
I'm confident that I'll get at least a "C" on this assignment.
I'm not sure to maybe understand the usage of AI that people use. My professor and myself are my audience. One technique did I meet while doing this project was not using AI and using my own brain to think of my ideas.
I didn't know that AI used things from our environment and leaves a carbon footprint.
Use critical thinking and not using AI ever again.
This whole assignment.
This experience was very new to me and hard to do for someone who use to use and depend on AI.

Personal AI Philosophy

I think the use of Generative AI isn't great for me neither someone else having to use AI. I believe after these 4 weeks that no-one should use AI because it really takes away the learning experience from people and could influence them even more to use it, which causes challenges in school and it can affect your thinking overall. It's creating damage to our ecosystem by making a carbon foot print like how we read in week 2, its takes people away from learning and creating English skills which is included in week 2 as well. In week one I explained how learning causes frustration and that its good to be frustrated while learning because it help you learn.
