From this we can infer that it is either Kharif or Rabi depending on the location of the village in which case it will be around June-July if it's Kharif or November-December if it's Rabi.

Since it is a rice crop growing region, it would also mean that it is a hot and humid region with good rainfall or good access through irrigation facilities and access to ample amounts of water.

In the image, we can see the interaction between villagers who are planting the seedlings as well as the interaction between the villagers and the student. Because all the villagers are women, it is a good decision for a girl student to interact with them. This might lead to them opening up more about their concerns and issues. 
The older ladies present are looking at the student with a little confusion but the girl who is closer to the age of the student seems to be more comfortable in talking to the student and helping her to know about the process. The older women also look critical of student's planting and are checking whether she is doing the process correctly.

It seems to be a place that receives a lot of sunlight.
