         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>What? Inhumane treatment, mental and physical torture of mentally invalid kids in center JU Pazaric, BiH.<br><br>Reaction? With photos being published there was national outburst and backlash for the case, with it being on every news that week which lead to increasing the presure on the government that started a court case against their actions.<br><br>What right?<br>Article 2 I Right to Equality<br>Article 2 | Freedom from Discrimination<br>Article 3 | Right to Life, Liberty, Personal Security<br>Article 4 | Freedom from Slavery<br>Article 5 | Freedom from Torture and Degrading Treatment<br>Article 12 | Freedom from Interference with Privacy, Family, Home and Correspondence<br><br>Impact: changing of people on key positions in the center, more money assigned to the center and similar places by the government,<br><br>Photos are leaked, and they were posted in different newspaper so quick and so fast that one can't find their source.<br><br>There were also portest for justice for the kids in Pazaric and for every kid experiencing inhuman and such or similar treatment in BiH</div>]]></description>

Amnesty international and other NGOs protest, try to pass law through House of Representative and Senate to overturn this<br><br>What right? ECHR delivered jugment which requires B&amp;H to hold elections and change election law<br><br>What right? Right to vote, freedom from discrimination, right to free elections...<br><br>Impact? reports and suggestions by UNHRC, Venice commission, NGOs, etc. The verdict influenced and initiated agreement between political parties.          <title>Santiago: El Junquito Raid (Venezuela)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>What? Former special forces policeman, Óscar Pérez, rebelled against the Maduro regime in 2017, during the massive protests against it at the moment. Pérez declared to be the leader of a paramilitary group. On January the 15th 2018, after 6 months hiding from the government, loyal forces to Maduro (police and criminal groups) located the place where Pérez was hiding, leading to the confrontation and execution of most of Pérez´s group by official state forces.<br><br>Reaction? The Organizaton of American States, European and Latin American governments condemned the event and the extrajudicial execution.<br><br>What right? Right to life, freedom from torture, right to a fair trial.<br><br>Impact: Pérez execution is mentioned on the High Commissioner for Human Rights´ report on Venezuela. A trial against the Maduro administration was opened by the Supreme Court in the exile.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>What?<br>Council of Europe's Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) found that, among various violations throughout the countries prisons, there was a case in Mostar Prion of human right violations. After an inmate repeatedly banged on his cell door, prison officials handcuffed his hands behind his back with his wrists hyperextended and anklecuffed him with a walking chain. They placed him in a cell for two days without food or access to sanitary facilities. <br>Reaction?<br>Both the Federation and the RS Ministries of Interior stated they had improved their complain systems and are now keeping medical files in a systematic manner. The Federation Prosecutor's Office issued a note instructing all cantonal prosecutors to prevent abuse, torture and inhumane treatment. A similar note was issued in the RS as well. <br>What right?<br>Torture, food<br>Impact?<br>Except that the government officials issues previously said notes, none.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>What:  Children in Côte d’Ivoire are engaged in the worst forms of child labor in agriculture, particularly in cocoa farms, sometimes under conditions of forced labor.<br><br>Reaction: the signing of the Harkin Engel Protocol - an agreement between chocolate and cocoa industry representatives  in order to establish  efforts in order to eliminate child labour in cocoa growing. In September 2011, eight companies in the chocolate and cocoa industry including ADM, Barry Callebaut, Cargill, Ferrero, The Hershey Company, Kraft Foods, Mars, Incorporated, and Nestlé have pledged US $2 million to a new Public-Private Partnership with the international labour organization to combat child labor in cocoa growing communities in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire. <br><br>Impact: The agreement was quite unsuccessful and failed to have a significant impact on child labour. The number of children in hazardous work in cocoa production continues to be of concern. </div>]]></description>
