Bamboo train, known in Khmer as “norry”, is a kind of bamboo raft on wheels that are turned by a small gas engine. It runs with a speed up to 50 kilometers per hour on a single line and can quickly be removed to the ground near the tracks if two trains going opposite directions meet. Same happens if there is a real train coming; however train conductors always know the real trains' schedule so they can avoid a collision. Nowadays there are just a couple of bamboo trains left in Battambang city, becoming a rarity of Cambodian public transport. So you still have a chance to ride old rail tracks on a bamboo raft along with chicken, some dogs and fellow Cambodians. Notice that during the wet season from May to October it will be less hot outside.

So, let's try and visit Cambodia!

Prepared by :

Muhamad Aisy Mikhail Bin Mohd Hafifi

A parachute is a type of air transportation used to slow down the descent of a person or object as it falls through the atmosphere. It works by creating drag, which counteracts the force of gravity, allowing for a controlled and safe landing. Parachutes are commonly used in skydiving, military operations, and emergency evacuations from aircraft. They are typically made from lightweight, durable materials such as nylon, and are designed to deploy quickly and efficiently when needed. The canopy of the parachute inflates as it catches the air, creating enough resistance to decelerate the fall. This technology has been essential for both recreational activities and life-saving measures, offering a reliable method for descending from high altitudes safely.

Prepared by: Ahmad Afif Razyn bin Mohd Ramzi (4 Amanah)

The tramlines or tram networks operated as public transport are called tramways or simply trams/streetcars. Most trams use electrical power, usually fed by a pantograph sliding on an overhead line. Trams were traditionally operated with separate levers for applying power and brakes. The history of passenger trams, streetcars, and trolley systems began in the early 19th century and was developed in numerous cities of Europe. There are two main types of tramways, the classic tramway built in the early 20th century with the tram system operating in mixed traffic, and the later type which is most often associated with the tram system having its own right of way.

Prepared by: Muhammad Adam Harith Bin Mohd Noorsyazmil

The first bus was probably a large, steam-driven stagecoach that operated in England in 1830.The early vehicle was called an omnibus, a Latin word meaning “for all,” later abbreviated to bus. In 1895 an eight-passenger bus powered by a four- to six-horsepower, single-cylinder engine was built in Germany.Buses may be used for scheduled bus transport, scheduled coach transport, school transport, private hire, or tourism; promotional buses may be used for political campaigns and others are privately operated for a wide range of purposes, including rock and pop band tour vehicles.Horse-drawn buses were used from the 1820s, followed by steam buses in the 1830s, and electric trolleybuses in 1882. The first internal combustion engine buses, or motor buses, were used in 1895.[3] Recently, interest has been growing in hybrid electric buses, fuel cell buses, and electric buses, as well as buses powered by compressed natural gas or biodiesel.Assalamualaikum

They're great for exploring around the dessert. They're lightweight and small enough to only fit two or four grownups. A Dune Buggys speed is only up to 60-70mph.

A helicopter is a type of aircraft that can fly in the air like a plane, but it works differently. Instead of wings, a helicopter has big blades on top that spin around really fast. These spinning blades lift the helicopter up into the air and let it move in any direction—up, down, forward, backward, or even sideways. Helicopters are special because they can take off and land in small spaces, and they can hover, which means they can stay in one spot in the air without moving. This makes them really useful for things like rescue missions, carrying heavy loads, or getting to places that are hard to reach by other types of aircraft.

VESPA

In recent years, many urban commuters have purchased new or restored Vespas. A shortage of available parking for automobiles in large urban areas and the Vespa's low running costs are two reasons for the increase in Vespa (and other scooter) popularity. The cultural use of the scooter as a recreational vehicle with a sub-cultural following in the US, Canada and parts of Europe and Japan has also contributed to the rise in Vespa ownership. In contrast, the Vespa is considered a utilitarian vehicle for hauling products and sometimes up to 5 family members in much of Asia and Mexico.

Prepared By: Muhammad Rayqal Aqlan

l

The history of sailing yachts begins in Europe in the beginning of the 1600s with the building of a pleasure vessel for the son of King James I of England. While other monarchs used naval ships for transportation and conquest, James I was the first English monarch to commission the construction of a yacht—for his son Henry, Prince of Wales in the early 1600s.[11] Pleasure vessels acquired the name yacht after the time of Charles II, who spent time exiled in Europe and visited the Netherlands, where a variety of jachten were already well developed as pleasure boats for the elite classes since the beginning of the 17th century. Upon his restoration to the English crown, Charles was presented with a yacht and later commisioned a series of royal yachts, which included at least one experimental catamaran. The first recorded yacht race between two vessels occurred in 1661, followed by the first open sailing competition in 1663 in English waters.[12]

Starting in 1739, England found itself in a series of wars—a period that saw a decline in yachting. In Ireland, however, the gentry enjoyed yachting and founded the first yacht club in Cork as the Cork Harbour Water Club in 1720. English yacht racing continued among the English gentry who founded England's oldest yacht club in 1775 to support a fleet at Cumberland. With maritime peace, starting in 1815, came a resurgence of interest in yachting. Boatbuilders, who had been making fast vessels both for smugglers and the government revenue cutters, turned their skills again to yachts.[12]

The fast yachts of the early 19th century were fore-and-aft luggers, schooners, and sloops. By the 1850s, yachts featured large sail areas, a narrow beam, and a deeper draft than was customary until then. Racing between yachts owned by wealthy patrons was common, with large wagers at stake. The America's Cup arose out of a contest between the yacht, America, and its English competitors. Both countries had rules by which to rate yachts, the English by tonnage and the American by length.[12]

In the late 19th century, yacht owners would base their choice of vessel upon preferred lifestyle and budget, which would determine the size and type of vessel, which would most likely be a fore-and aft, two-masted sailing vessel. A treatise on the subject, A Manual of Yacht and Boat Sailing, provided detailed information on selecting, equipping, sailing, seamanship, management of the paid crew, and racing such vessels. It included a brief section on steam yachts, the recirculating coil steam engine just having made such yachts efficient enough for leisure travel on the water.

Prepared by : Insyirah binti Ikrom Izairi
