Chinese gestures

In China there are gestures that represent numbers. We can use one hand only to represent numbers from zero to ten. It’s a much more convenient way to represent numbers. As I know, there is no way to represent from six to ten by one hand in other countries. Also, when I travel abroad and I use the ‘six’ gesture to foreigners and they felt confused.

The Spring Festival

In China, we celebrate the Spring Festival every year. On that day families would like to gather together and have a big meal at home. This cultural influence make me like red colour and expect the coming of Winter holiday. Also, I learned making dumplings from my families. This cultural festival affects the whole China and even other countries.

Drinking Hot Water

As a Chinese, my parents always let me drink hot water instead of ice water. Even when the weather is really hot my mom doesn’t allow me to drink ice water. They believe that drinking cold water will damage the stomach. But with this cultural influence, I feel happier when I drink cold things secretly. Also, I stomach is healthy.

English Language

It’s a cultural influence that affects me a lot. It’s the bridge between me and the whole world. I can communicate with others in other countries because I speak English. Also, I will study abroad and use English in the future. In conclusion, English changes my life and future.

iPhone, iPad, Apple Pencil…

Apple products are also a kind of cultural influences. Most of my families use iPhone and iPad, they affect our daily life. When we go abroad we can just used Apple Maps that contains the global map. Also, when I can not find my phone, I can find it by the apple app ‘Find My’ to see my phone’s location. I use iPad and Apple Pencil at school to help my study and I really like to use them.
