         <description><![CDATA[<p>I’ve chosen to focus on the intersection of healthcare, particularly how artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming this field. My interest in healthcare comes from having many friends and family members working in the field. I’ve always been curious about how healthcare systems operate and how technology can improve efficiency and accessibility. Recently, I’ve been following advancements in AI, like how it’s being used to diagnose diseases more accurately and personalize treatment plans. This got me thinking about how AI could also be used to predict health outcomes, such as by uploading pictures of a condition like acne to receive more tailored advice or treatment options.</p><p>On the Padlet wall, I will cover examples of AI applications in the healthcare industry. I will also discuss future trends, including the potential for AI to enhance patient care and predict health outcomes. Additionally, I will explore the societal impact of AI, such as how it can increase access to care and improve efficiency, but also how it raises concerns about data privacy, and trust. I believe AI has the potential to change healthcare for the better by making it faster and improving results, but it’s important to address ethical concerns to make sure its benefits are responsibly.</p>]]></description>

The concept of optimizing each patient's care based on the experiences and data of others is truly impactful. For example, radiologists can benefit from Tempus's use of AI to analyze imaging data allowing them to detect patterns more accurately and quickly, which helps reduce diagnostic errors.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>As AI continues to advance, its potential to transform healthcare also grows. It could help doctors catch diseases like Alzheimer's or cancer earlier, giving patients a better chance at recovery. AI can also make treatments more personal and improve overall patient care. But there are also some big challenges that come with using AI in healthcare. One of the biggest issues is making sure patient data is safe and private. If AI systems get hacked, sensitive information could be exposed. Also, not all patients fully understand how AI is being used in their care, which could cause problems with informed consent.  Some future devices include Medtronic and Tempus. </p>]]></description>

As well as AI relies heavily on patient data. This is concerning because what if that data isn't protected enough. Then it can cause issues such as misusing the information and leaking it. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to transform healthcare, its societal impact becomes more significant. One key area is employment. AI will change the workforce by automating repetitive tasks, but it also creates opportunities for new jobs that require human creativity and empathy, qualities that AI cannot replicate. As noted in What Is The Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Society?, AI will definitely cause the workforce to evolve. The alarmist headlines often emphasize the loss of jobs to machines, but the real challenge is for humans to find new passions and responsibilities that require uniquely human abilities. For example, PwC estimates that 7 million existing jobs will be replaced by AI in the UK between 2017-2037, but 7.2 million new jobs could be created. Although this offers hope, it also raises uncertainty about how some individuals will make a living, which could be challenging as the workforce adapts.</p>]]></description>
