         <description><![CDATA[<div>what have i learned:<br>- PM's job employs and supervise all the staff. <br>involved in budgeting, planning mostly. <br>they are there to keep order and make sure everything is on track as well.   <br>- paper tech is a meeting for designers and SM to run through cues (cue by cue) not used often <br>- we should have counted down the weeks rather than the other way round as it is easier for the reader to understand<br>- there is actually a lot of ways to do a production schedule .<br>- bump in is different from rehearsals. bump in is under production<br>- licensing and rights is different is license is for the script to be staged by the government while rights is from the original playwright or the creator</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>What have I learnt:</strong><br>- As soon as rehearsal start prop should be done up to let actors get use to it<br><br>-Production timeline should be in a count down manner, so that readers will understand how many weeks there are in the production<br><br>-<strong>Paper tech: </strong>Directors and designers go through cue by cue with the SM.<br><br>-Quick change review: For actors to try on their costume, try to put it earlier so that changes can be made if needed to<br><br>-Company usually stop updating their website after the show to post any photos of the production itself<br><br>-Take note of bump in week, tech run and light/sound plotting happens after bump in<br><br>-<strong>Licensing:</strong> Get permission/approval from the government for it to be stage<br><br>-<strong>Rights:</strong> Get permission from the original playwright or creator to use the script for the play</div>]]></description>

SRT is located along the Singapore River at Robertson Quay, or Robertson Walk.</li><li>Production timeline should be a countdown towards opening day.</li><li>Paper tech is usually for SM and designers to go through cue by cue.</li><li> Bump-in is during production phase.</li><li>Licensing is needed for people to perform on stage or elsewhere.</li><li>There are many ways of communication, but it is important to be effective.</li><li>What is Get Out &amp; Returns ?          <description><![CDATA[<div>Floor making is to be done before rehearsal start<br><br></div><div>It is ideal to have the props earlier before production week so that cast have to get used to it and be in character. (as soon as possible)</div><div> </div><div>Production budget, timeline and schedule should be planned and finalized before production week.   <br><br></div><div>Timeline should be in descending order. <br><em>(Note: when doing paperwork, to keep in mind whether the reader can understand.)<br></em><br></div><div>Operators can be either from the venue or from the show company.<br><br></div><div><strong>Paper tech</strong> is where you sit down with the designers and go through the different cue lists and adding them to your cue book. It is like a meeting that you talk through what cues are called together, what each does, and when designer would like cue to be called.<br><em>- Director, Stage Managers and Designer are involved with operators.</em></div><div>SM will go through all the cues without the operators.<br>(Right now, it is very rare for paper tech because it is time consuming.)<br><br></div><div>Show companies will usually stop marketing after the show. Not before the show because it is still an ongoing marketing of it.<br><br></div><div>Lighting and sound plot can be done only at the actual venue itself.<br><br></div><div>With group D’s production timeline, it should also be in descending order too.<br><br></div><div><strong>KC Arts Centre Venue:</strong> Located near Robertson Quay, at the Singapore river stretch. <br><br></div><div><strong>Licensing and Rights</strong> are different. **you need a license to perform, you need rights from original playwright or creator to use the script<br><br></div><div>Have to book the stage manager, cast, singers, musicians – better ones need to book them in advance because the better ones are usually booked for one and halfway. So it is better to do audition 12-18 months before the production.<br><br></div><div><strong>Question:</strong> Can I say that paper tech is like a ‘rehearsal’ for calling cues?</div>]]></description>
