"First Puerto Rican astronomer to build a telescope."

Many of the research known today has been possible due to the hard work of this scientist. The Puerto Rican inventor I choose is Victor Blanco. He was the first astronomer of our island. He was born in March 10, 1918 in Guayama, Puerto Rico. I choose him because he was the first Puerto Rican to create a large telescope in Chile. He was also a student of the University of Puerto Rico in 1937. His many research and contributions led him to receive many awards for his findings and projects. The telescope received his name because of his passion and commitment. 
 
         It’s important to celebrate his birthday because he demonstrated that nothing is impossible in this life. He went from poor to rich in a matter of a second. He proves the world that if you commit enough, you can achieve greater things. He was also a professor in the UPR and helped many of the students that wanted to be like him. His work helped many researchers until this day and that is one thing to admire. His birthday must be celebrated due to his hard work through the years.

       Throughout history, we read in the books that there are many inventors who contributed great contributions in the world. Many of them famous for their work, others not. However, everyone should be recognized for their hard work and sacrifice, since making an invention is not as easy as it looks. Inventing is a process that complicates a lot of perseverance, because the first attempt is very difficult to achieve. This process, once it is successful, must be celebrated, because that inventor brought to the world an idea never seen that benefits all of us.
