Butterfly iQ is a 0.69lb handheld ultrasound that uses the first ever Ultrasound-on-a-Chip technology to provide over 2 hours of continuous scanning and includes a built-in lithium ion battery with wireless charging abilities. Made from anodized aluminum, Butterfly iQ is durable and efficient and has a 4.10 foot cable that allows for maneuverability. The Butterfly app has 18 presets for different scans and body systems, 3 modes (M, B, and Color Doppler), and settings for image depth and measurements that include a midline marker tool. Data can be stored and is available in real-time all the time, and the app features secure commenting such that images can be sent to colleagues and patients while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Butterfly iQ is available to licensed physicians and pricing starts at $2000 and can be broken down into monthly payments of $200 each.

According to Butterfly Network, Inc. (2019), Butterfly iQ was created from the idea that billions of people around the world do not have access to medical imaging. The plan was to create an affordable ultrasound device that was handheld and easy to use, and based upon my reading the project was a success (Harper, M. 2019). However, this device should not replace formal ultrasounds and advanced imaging. While the Butterfly iQ can be used to locate large structures (for example an initial FAST scan during a trauma), using this device as a diagnostic tool should be done with caution. I appreciate that only licensed physicians can purchase this device. One of my concerns when initially researching was that individuals that lacked formal training could attempt to self-diagnose using the ultrasound, and that could be disastrous. The Butterfly iQ is a revolutionary device that is a step in the right direction toward affordable healthcare for all. I am excited to see how this project develops over the next few years!

My strengths: Achiever, learner, harmony, responsibility, positivity

My Team:
1. Analytical Angelica- I chose her because analytical thinkers are objective and like to question all aspects of an idea while seeking data patterns and outcomes. Her logical approach will strengthen the team by identifying issues possibly not thought of by other group members, myself included.

2. Abraham the Arranger- I chose him because I need someone to manage the team. He will be able to set each team member up for success by learning their individual strengths, which will benefit the outcome of the project. He can help us set goals, meet deadlines, organize a launch event, and maximize the team's efficiency. He will be my right hand man and will serve as a resource and sounding board for the rest of the team.

3. Carter the Communicator- I chose Carter for his ability to bring the project to life by presenting it in a way that is informative, positive, and exciting. I think he will balance Angelica's analytical side by taking her data sets and organizing them in a way that targets the audience. In addition, I think he will find creative and fun ways to market the project.

4. Matthew the Maximizer- I chose Matthew because he seeks excellence. He will be able to focus on project strengths and build them into greatness. His goal is success and I think he will be able to assist Angelica if she identifies weakness in the project by creating quality improvement programs that maximize performance.

5. Restorative Rachel- I chose her to be the balance between Matthew and Angelica. Angelica uses raw data to identify problems, which might freak Matthew out. But some problems need addressing, which Matthew may shy away from while focusing on strengthening stronger areas. I need Rachel to problem solve with a calm and consistent approach. Because my strengths include harmony and positivity I feel that I can help her with this task.
