We have a question from last week about populating rosters. If they are not already populated, how can we get this accomplished? I know it was talked about but wanting clarification please?

Hello! Your district rosters via Clever. So, your district technology person would need to have Clever rostered for the 23-24 school year. Then, this would sync with Imagine Learning Classroom. Are the PDF versions of the Check your readiness assessment available in Spanish?

YES! Click on the Unit. Scroll down to Lessons & Assessments. Click on Check Your Readiness Assessment Option B. Click the Materials Tab. Scroll down and click on Spanish Check Your Readiness, Option B (PDF). See pictures below if needed.

Hi, I tried sharing https://blaineschools.ilclassroom.com with students and it didn't work for them. Which link do I share with them?

Answer: Remove the e, Blaine is abbreviated in the code to Blain. The website is https://blainschools.ilclassroom.com
Alternatively, students can log into Clever at clever.com and then click on the IL Classroom tile and avoid going to this website altogether.

Colored Student Edition?

Will the next edition of the student workbooks be in color? Our Spanish ones are and it is fabulous!

Answer: YES! Student workbooks are being revamped and will all be in color starting Fall 2024.

Annotate on Video Lesson Summaries?

If I annotate on a video lesson summary, can it be saved somehow? Or would I have to use a screen sharing program (Loom, Screencastify, etc) to show what I am annotating?

Answer: At the moment, annotations are not saved once the teacher exits the lesson. Please feel free to use the "feedback" button on the platform to share if this is a feature you would like to see added! Your idea for a screen sharing program is a great solution.

Spanish Glossary?

I know I can find the vocabulary in Spanish within each unit.
It looks like there is supposed to be the list of Spanish vocabulary below the English Glossary but it is empty. Is this a feature that's "under construction"? I thought I saw it here a few weeks ago.

Answer: Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention! We will look into it. As you said, for now, each unit in 6-8 includes Spanish Vocabulary lessons on the Unit Materials Page. Here is a click path as an example. 6th grade > Unit 1 > Unit Materials > Vocabulary > 6.1 Spanish Vocabulary

Answer: In current and future workbooks, pages will be perforated in K-5, but not 6-8.

Imagine Math?

Hello again,
Can you explain if there is a (publishing) connection between Imagine Learning (LearnZillion) with Illustrative Mathematics and the Imagine Math online program that the state has paid for? I have used Imagine Math in an intervention class before. I just looked again recently and saw that there is an Illustrative Mathematics pathway, along with other curriculums. I'm wondering if it could be supplementary to the book and if so, how what are the best practices with it.

Answer: Great questions! Imagine Learning provides Imagine Math AND Illustrative Mathematics. We do have Illustrative Mathematics pathways within Imagine Math. As a default, students are typically assigned their grade-level pathway, but you can replace that pathway or add another pathway that specifically aligns to the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum. You have the ability to assign the entire year of the Illustrative Mathematics pathway to your students or you can assign Illustrative Mathematics pathways unit by unit to use as a supplement to your core instruction.

One of our amazing PD Specialists (Tiffany Poppe) will actually be in town this Wednesday (Oct 25) at 2:30pm training on Imagine Math (Blaine County School District Community Campus: - Queen of the Hills Room). If you'd like further information about how Imagine Math can be used as a supplement to Illustrative Mathematics you can address the question there. Right now, only Assessment B is available in Spanish. Will A be available in Spanish next year?
